Trip to WDW 2004 starring; BiGGy, BiGGy's Wife(the one who signed all the travellers cheques and left me with nothing) , BiGGy Junior(12), DD(10) and Mom(always 21)

We stayed at the Gatwick Hilton the night before the flight. Felt like royalty in our posh room. BiGGy junior was so impressed with the size of the wardrobe he wanted it as his own room. Mom was well impressed with the freebies. Good job she bought a backpack with enough room to cram them all in. When we checked in we were informed that there was an offer on for breakfast in the executive lounge for £20. "What! Each!" came the scream from Mrs BiGGy. She was well chuffed when she found out that it was altogether.

We used the twilight check-in. What an absolute godsend. Got checked in for our first trip ever in premium economy. Mom still had no idea she was going in the posh seats.

The car was parked in the car park across the road, which was a bonus the next morning when we put the bag with our nightclothes back in the car. Then, off we went for breakfast. Mom stayed on the ground floor,(secretly checking out the pilots me thinks) whilst the rest of us went up to our posh breakfast in the executive lounge. Well, mom would have had a field day here. As it was, mom had trained her daughter in law well and she came away with a couple of muffins in the backpack.

The wife had to help BiGGy junior as he's in that teenager time of life where anything he picks up, ends up on the floor.

After we'de finished taking advantage of the ameinities at breakfast we headed off to do some retail therapy shopping in duty free.Whilst the girlies were spending their money, the boys went straight to the arcade of course. BiGGy junior nearly had his finger sliced off because over enthusiastic dad wanted to win the air hockey. After much reasurring of mom, Mrs BiGGy and a Mc Flurry, junior was happy to know that his finger wasn't going to drop off in mid-flight.

Time came to board and was mom well impressed with the seats upstairs. You could just see her mind working out how much room she had in that backpack for anything that wasn't nailed down. Mrs BiGGy was well on her way to getting merry on that free glass of champagne before the flight. And DD(10 going on 18) was not impressed that she had to sit next to her mom (she's sooo boring) for the whole flight.

The flight went without a hitch thanks to mom and her backpack. Never has there been such a supply of toothrotting sweets for the take-off and landing. That bag was definitley the new tardis.

Getting our bags and getting through immigration was so quick because of premium economy. We breathed a sigh of relief as mom's backpack passed through the x-ray machine without a hitch and the sniffer dog didn't sit down by her case(like last year).

Dollar were quick with the car and we were off to our hotel , the villager premier.

Biggy had his gadgets with him, so out came the PDA. Not wanting to rely on Mrs BiGGy's directions, he thought he would play it safe with the voice of a woman that wouldn't answer him back.

Got to the hotel and was given our room. Mom doesn't like heights, so the ground floor it was. Mrs BiGGy unpacked and the kids flaked out on the beds. Mom was well impressed that she had to share a bed with DD,who does a marathon in the night. BiGGy junior was happy with his fold away bed by the air conditioning. All of a sudden, Mrs Biggy said,"Aww, we've got a lizard in the room." At this point, David "BiGGy" Bailey gets out his camera to capture the local wildlife. Closer inspection revealed that our room buddy was a cockroach. Quickly, it ran for cover of the air conditioning, making junior jump up shouting "I ain't staying in this dump!"

Off Mrs BiGGy stomps down to reception to get the room changed. Reception sorts a new room out in the adjioning block. Mrs Biggy throws everything back in the cases whilst BiGGy folds up son and bed to take them to the next room. Here he finds out that son and bed won't fit because it is a room for the disabled. Off Mrs BiGGy stomps with steam coming out of her ears.

With room number three sorted out, off we trudged, up to the first floor.
The look of alarm as BiGGy realises that DD might need a firemans lift upstairs as she has passed out and nothing will wake her up.

We eventually settled into room number three only to find out that the safe wouldn't lock as we had been given the wrong key. Mrs BiGGy went down to reception. By this time the staff had removed anything that could be thrown at them, off the counter. With the promise of an engineer would come and look at it, back she came.

Fifteen minutes later Phsyco Bob knocked on the door brandishing his tools( a screwdriver, drill and hammer). Ten minutes later all was fixed and we were ready for a good nights sleep to get up early for the sales in the morning.
