I am looking for good airfare from Mpls to Orlando in January. Anyone know what a good rate is? Sun Country has flights for approx $250.00...Any hints on how long I should wait before booking? We are doing the disney land/cruise.....Thanks!!::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

I monitor the MSP-MCO flights quite frequently and $250 is about as low as it goes, on average. It gets down to $200 occasionally, but if you are set with your cruise dates, I would grab the $250. Northwest currently has a $238 (plus taxes & fees) fare, but it is pretty restrictive. (I think you have to fly out on the flight that leaves after 3:00 pm). That is for travel in January. For anyone traveling before October 6, there are some fares for $163 - $183 plus tax and fees.

Are you going on the cruise first, before Disney World? If so, I would plan on flying down a day before. I love Sun Country, but in case of a mechanical or snow storm (January in MN :sunny: ) you are stuck.

Have a great trip!

We got tickets for $205.00 when you buy three on Sun Country with the Winter Carnival Button. I got the original info off these boards. PM me if you want more info.

That is a good fare! I would take it. I really like Sun Country.

Just flew them into LAX. Only issue is that there are less choices as far as fight times, but you do get to go out of the Hubert Humphrey terminal and parking is cheaper.

$250 is pretty reasonable. As was said, sometimes you can get lucky and get around $200. And sometimes you wait for $200 and end up paying $405.

I did a search on travelocity earlier today and United is having a deal if your times work. Search travelocity and see... tickets started at 153...

I also used the buy 2 get 3rd free from the St. Paul Winter Carnival button. We have 10 people flying Sun Country in August at a total cost of $134.89 per person including taxes!

A little hint about Sun Country. Their Tues and Wed flights are usually cheaper... though right now all of their flights seem a bit high. I am looking for flights at Spring Break in 05 and they are up there around 250..

Also, keep an eay on Airtran. They do offer a nonstop flight going both directions and I think they are around 119 each way right now and they run many deals.

If you have friends you can leave your car with in Milwaukee, Midwest Airlines offers good deals to Orlando from MKE, you just have to drive to MKE first... they do fly from MSP to MKE then to MCO, but the cost is substantially higher....

Whew!

Good luck.
