Moving to France from the States!

My family will be relocating to France in the next couple of months (northern France). We recently took our 2&3 year old daughters to Disneyland and California Adventure and had an absolute blast. We had a park hopper and only spent one day but it was so fun.

I'm wondering if anyone can share some details with me about DLP. My girls are princess freaks and just loved the princess fantasy faire at DL. We also did dinner with the princesses at Ariel's Grotto. They also really enjoyed Playhouse Disney Live and the pixar parade.

I guess I'm wondering if DLP will accommodate our young children as well as DL did. Will they get as much character interaction? We will live close enough that an annual pass would be a viable option (can anyone tell me how this works?) but will there be enough for us to do with them at their ages?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hi ilovethesun and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

Lucky you :goodvibes

Your DD's will love Aurora's castle at DLP.

There are 3 types of annual passport (AP) at DLP. On the very useful info sticky there is a link. Unhelpfully the parks only produce information about AP's in French. Mind you that may not be a problem or soon will not be once you have settled in France :)

Thanks for the info! I guess when it comes down to it, who doesn't have a good time at Disney? I'm sure we'll check it out soon. Does it operate mostly in French or do most cast members speak english?

Hello and :welcome:

All of the CM speak English so you won't have any probs. DLRP is great!!! We all love it!! ;)

Enjoy France and Disneyland Paris :)

Hi and welcome to DLP boards. There will be plenty for your two princesses to do. Fantasyland has all the usual rides as well as Alice in Wonderland maze. There is a princess character meal as well as other character meals to try.

Sleeping Beautys Castle is beautiful and there is lots to explore there. The studios are expanding all the time and at the moment the girls would love Animagique show,Flying Carpets,Cars ride and there is a lot of good character interaction there too.

You will find the annual passes excellent value for money with all there discounts and DLP does Halloween and Christmas very well :goodvibes

Good luck with your move :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone. I can't wait to check it out. DH and I were laughing this morning saying that the closest we'll ever live to a Disney park is going to be in a different country. :)

I was able to look at a bunch of pics and it looks wonderful. I'm sure our family will enjoy it!

Thanks!
