Moving Luggage between Resorts

Hey y'all

I'm staying at Pop Century later this week, and I would love to end our trip with breakfast at the Polynesian before catching our flight back home at 2:30pm.

I figure we would need to leave the resort for the airport around noon, and after talking with customer service, they recommend I have Guest Services move our luggage from Pop Century to be held at the Poly before we leave.

Does anyone have any experience doing this? I'd be fine using a MinnieCab from resort to resort, but I'd like to save the fare if possible.

If I understand your situation correctly, I would highly advise against the idea of having bell services transfer your luggage to Poly. If you have a 2:30 PM flight, I agree with leaving by noon for the airport. Bags are transferred once per day, later in the day. It's almost certain your bags wouldn't get to Poly until 3/4/5PM, and that's not going to help you out at all! I'd recommend taking them with you so you have them before leaving for the airport (Poly bell services will certainly hold them for you while you eat), or finding something closer to Pop for breakfast that morning so you have Pop hold your bags until you're ready to leave. I would not send the bags to Poly via bell services. It's a service that can work well when changing resorts and when you're not completely time constrained - we've done it many times. In your case, I don't think it would work at all. Have a great trip!

The bags arrive at like 5 (or later!) if you are staying at the resort, which is doesn't sound like you are.

You could take an Uber and have Bell Services hold your bags as if you are checking in later.

Your recommendation possibly saved our trip! We shuffled our Poly visit to arrival day for Trader Sam's, and instead we went to the Riviera on our departure day and made it into Topolino's Terrace for breakfast on a whim. Fantastic!

I'll keep this in mind in case we switch resorts on a future trip

Also keep in mind don’t ever listen to guest services phone or chat teams unless it has to do with booking or paying for a hotel or tickets. They give out bad info all. The. Time.

Uber to Poly and have Bell Services hold your bags while you eat.

You’ll save yourself from a potential catastrophe.
