Has anyone ever exchanged guests within multiple staterooms before booking excursions so that excursion times would be the same for all guests in party? We are traveling with a party who are CC members already and can book excursions earlier than we can. We would like to book a few excursions with them. We asked a DCL representative over the phone and she said that since all of our reservations are already linked we could move around guests within the staterooms and then after booking, return all guests to original staterooms. A loophole? Not sure if this really works and would like some feedback if anyone has ever tried this. Thanks.

What you need to do is have at least one guest in each room that will give all rooms the same Castaway Club level. Then the booking window for all rooms will open at the same time. Once onboard, you can switch rooms for sleeping, DCL doesn't monitor that.

One note, everyone will have to attend the muster drill for whatever room they are booked into, not sleeping in.

I'm not sure what would happen if, once the excursions are booked, you move people to different rooms - whether they can retain "their" excursion reservation, or if it's tied to the actual room.

I think they have to be booked that way from the start. Otherwise, you would have to do a name change which there is a fee for.

I think the name change fee is only when you are changing out one person for a different person (one not already on the cruise) for those whose cruise is close (like 30-60 days out?)

Just switching people between rooms on already booked reservations don't have a change fee.
