Does anyone know the names of some movies that took place in New Orleans? My DN will be attending Loyola in New Orleans in Sept. and I'm trying to put together a gift basket for him. TIA

Run Away Jury if I remember correctly was based there. The one with John Cusack in it.

I love Dennis Quaid in the Big Easy. He's so hot and the accentt. Well, whooh.

I think part of the Pelican Brief took place in NO.

Well, there's always the perennial classic "Girls Gone Wild: Mardi Gras 2K2."

No?

How about:

Band of Angels, Albino Alligator, Double Jeopardy, Interview With the Vampire, A Streetcar Named Desire (there are multiple versions, some good, some not-so-good), Jezebel (1938, with Bette Davis), Obsession (DePalma)..if you think he'll watch a documentary, J'ai Ete Au Bal is a fantastic documentary on the roots of cajun and zydeco music.

hi!i live in new orleans... and just last week about a block down from where i live, in they were filming a moving, with i think, kate hudson. i dont know if this is true, but i know for sure that there were quite of movies being filmed. i can see what their titles were...

"Double Jeopardy" with Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd was partly done in NO. That is actually a really good movie, IMO.

The movie Blaze with Paul Newman takes place in NO. Although its about a politician and a stripper (LOL)!

Also that movie with Kim Basinger and Richard Gere was filmed there.....

Hot movie just can not remember the name right now.

There was some cheesy Dracula movie filmed there about three years ago. We were there and witnessed some of the filming. I actually saw the movie on tv a few months ago. I believe the name was Dracula (and then the year two thousand something)

My favorite movie is "Undercover Blues", with Dennis Quaid and Kathleen Turner.

We've finally found an outlet for all the useless trivia floating around in our gourds...:hyper2:

New Orleans is THE BEST PLACE in the world to go to college. I went to Newcomb/Tulane which is next door to Loyola. I have been out of school forever but manage to go back to New Orleans almost once a month.

My nephew spent two years at Tulane but flunked out because he had too much fun.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/13/13_4_1.gif' border=0></a> It was still a great experience for a little NE prep school boy to learn about the world.
