Movies on beach at night at Poly?

I read in a thread somewhere that the Poly has movies on the beach at night...Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

Gee I never heard that. There are nightly movies at FW campfire.

Not sure about the poly, But they have movies on the Beach at the YC/BC/ BCV

I have never seen anyone watching movies on the Poly beach at night. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, just that I've never seen it. My guess is "no" but I'm not 100% certain.

I don't think so either. There were none when we were there.
As stated, last year they did begin to do this at the YC/BC, but I don't think Poly

When we were there in August there weren't any movies showing on the beach. Same thing for this past December.

This past December when I stayed at the Polynesian there were no movies that were shown on the beach and I also think this happens at the SAB pool for guests of the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts.

the BWV and SSR both sometime have movies at the main pool.

Maybe you are thinking of the Electric Water Pageant? That is a parade of boats with light-up figures on the boats and goes past the Poly. I have not seen any movies at Poly on the beach, and they are not mentioned on Tikiman's very comprehensive website, so I'm guessing probably not.

We've stayed at the YC and they ran the movies every night on the beach.

I don't believe it is for YC/BC guests only. It's not like SAB, no one checking room keys or giving out wristbands.

I think I remember something like that way back in the late seventies/early eighties. That was when the only resorts on property were the poly, contemporary/ and fort along with three at the hotel plaza. But that was a real long time ago. They used to have church serices there in lua cove on sundays also. That is also now a thing of the past.
