So DS1 wants tickets for the kids for xmas to go to movie world, sea world, wet and wild etc.....they are 3,4,5 plus 4 adults...

so ladies...any cheap promos, offers, etc to find...to be used in jan 2013...

I know about the nrma offer, just looking for a better deal:thumbsup2

I believe that they did run a promo some time ago...but cannot remember what. It was good enough to entice my brother and SiL to take it up.

I'll have to ask them when I get back.

There is the MyFun VIP pass. They usually have a special for all three parks until about June of the next year, like an annual pass but it starts later in the year so it's less than 12 months.

I'm not sure if it's just for locals or not. I will see if I can see if it's on at the moment.

There is a deal where you can get the 'VIP' passes (annual pass for Sea World, Movieworld and Wet n Wild) for $79 each, must be from QLD or within the NSW postcodes of 2450 - 2490 and be purchasing a minimum of 4 passes. Don't know if your postcode fits into that?

Otherwise it seems $99 is the going rate.

My family want to go back to the Queensland theme parks these coming holidays. I can't handle going back there, once you've been to Disney nothing compares *sob*

ETA: looks like there are no child prices for the MyFun VIP pass - considering it's $49/$79 (child/adult) for a one day entry I'd say the $99 is a pretty good deal. Mind you, child is 3-13yr, anyone under 3 is free....my siblings were 2.5yrs for quite a number of years *cough*

We're on the Gold Coast now. We are staying a few nights at Seaworld Resort because they had a deal on for free passes to Seaworld, Movie World, Wet and Wild unlimited passes till June 13, for stays of 3 nights or more. It worked out to be about the same price as buying the tickets seperately and the nights at the hotel we're heading to for the rest of our stay. I thought the kids would love to stay right next to Seaworld, with the great pool, water play area and waterpark. They have had a ball and love the Spongebob water and light show in the splash park each night.
Anyway, we went to Dreamworld today and were pretty bored after a few hours. We were there a few years ago (pre Disneyland) and loved it. Just shows what a trip to Disneyland does to any future theme park visits!!
By the way, we only booked this trip when I thought there wasn't a chance of us getting back to Disneyland. We head off again May, so I guess that's why I'm not so excited about this trip.

I think the VIP will be the best ticket for them...they are there for 8 days, so even if they use it twice at each park they will get their money's worth.....

so thats their xmas gifts sorted:thumbsup2

When we went in November last year we got a month pass to all of the parks for I think $80 per person - we were only there for 3 days but this was the cheapest option for us.

I sort of regret not going to dream world as well, I know it's not Disney, but I still enjoy the rides.

I know! My kids want to go back to the Gold Coast theme parks but I'm sure they'll be let down after Disney.

Dd wants to go to Seaworld for her birthday. Man..... DH has offered to stay home with our other DD. they are just so disappointing after Disney and the cost is half a ticket to LA.
