Movie that made you laugh so hard you cried

One of my absolute favorite movies!!

I'm not a huge comedy fan, but these ones really made me laugh:

Elf
Tropic Thunder
The Hangover

And then there is Meet the Parents, which made me laugh but I loathed anyway. Weird, huh?

I don't think any movie will ever make me laugh the way Friends still gets me, though.

I had no interest what so ever in The Hangover but DH's boss sent it home and we were bored on New Years Eve. We both had tears streaming and have been quoting lines ever since. Maybe it's because we both grew up and had our party days in Vegas, we could see it happening. Too many great scenes but the one that has me dissolving into hysterical laughter when I think about is when they open the trunk of the car.

Blazing Saddles...Funniest.Movie.EVER.

DH likes what I call 'stupid comedy movies,' the Airplane Series, Naked Gun series anything along those lines. I lean more towards 'dark comedy,' Fargo, Gross Pointe Blank and anything Denis Leary does.

In recent times.... The Hangover. Of all time.... Blazing Saddles.

Yup...The Hangover...didn't think it would be that great but we loved it!!! :happytv:Almost peed ourselves we were laughing so hard...heard we should watch it again, even funnier the second time around.

Those mentioned that I agree with (I certainly didn't see all those mentioned):
Wedding Crashers
Rat Race
Grumpy Old Men
Liar Liar
The Hangover
Meet the Parents
Kingpin

Others not already mentioned:
Ghost Town
Mad Money
Beverly Hills Cop
48 Hours
Big Momma's House
White Chicks
Anger Management

I think I'm going to go look up, What About Bob. Many of you seem to like it.

I have to agree with a pp: Best in Show has me rolling on the floor. I think Christopher Guest has a genius touch for comedy.

Also, Old School. DH won't watch any kind of comedy where he's embarassed for someone, but even he will watch this one with me. "We're streaking!"

The first time I saw Porkys I was in college. I remember thinking that was the funniest movie I had ever seen

I loved it too. I feel the same way about Stir Crazy (Richard Prior and Gene Wilder). I'm not sure if I'd like either if I was to watch them for the first time today. That keeps me leery from recommending them, but I did truly love them both.

Used Cars ... "$50 never killed anyone"

Airplane, Little Shop of Horrors, Monty Python and the Holy Grail (if you like that British stuff), that movie where Leslie Nielsen was forced to sing the National Anthem at the baseball game when he was trying to prevent the assassination of the Queen of England.

Young Frankenstein
Airplane (especially when they lined up to "calm down" the hysterical woman)
Foul Play (Burgess Meredith fighting the woman, the scene with the Japanese tourists in the limo - "Bang Bang Kojak"... :rotfl: )

The Birdcage - specifically the scene where Nathan Lane is trying to learn how to walk like John Wayne. And Hank Azaria as Spartacus.

One of the Pink Panther movies, I think it was the Return of the Pink Panther - the scene where Peter Sellars is just idly playing around on the parallel bars and dismounts down the stairwell - don't know why but it just cracks me up.

A little known movie from the eighties called "The Gods Must Be Crazy" It was silly but very funny.

There are many more but I can't remember them right now.

That's The Pink Pather Strikes Again - and I love the part where all the agents are trying to assassinate him at the Oktoberfest and knock each other off instead.

It's also the film with the following dialogue:

Clouseau: (looking at a dog sitting in the lobby if an inn) Does your dog bite?
Innkeeper: No.
(Clouseau tries to pet the dog - it bites him)
Clouseau: I thought you said your dog does not bite!
Innkeeper: That is not my dog!

And "The Gods Must Be Crazy" (this was a South African movie) is hilarious!

Monty Python & the Holy Grail (Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!)
Monty Python's The Meaning of Life (It was... the LIVER MOUSSE!!)
Young Frankenstein (Werewolf! There wolf- there castle.)
Blazing Saddles (Where de white women at?)
Raising Arizona (Son, you got a panty on your head.)
Airplane (Timmy, do you like gladiator movies?)
Tommy Boy (That's gonna leave a mark!!)
It's Complicated (Turns out, I'm a bit of a s**t!)
When Harry Met Sally (I'll have what she's having.)
The Emperor's New Groove (Demon llama!! Demon llama!!)
The Jerk (I found my special purpose!)
