What happens at a premier? Do they do anything special or just show the movie at midnight? I assume Fabtastic Four will begin on my cruise and I'm not sure if I should make an effort or not.

I have done 3 cruises were there was a PremEar and for all three they just showed the movie at midnight and there wasn't anything in addition to that. But, I'm not sure the ships will show Fantastic Four. That is a Marvel property but I think it's the part of Marvel that still belongs to Fox. Disney did not produce the movie, and I'm not sure they're distributing it either.

Thanks for the info. They are advertising it on Disney channel, so I made an assumption. Regardless, I'm not super interested, but if there was anything special, I would consider it as a fun memory.

DCL only shows movies that are distributed theatrically in the US by Disney.

Movies based on The Fantastic Four, X-Men & Spider-Man Characters are all controlled by other companies. X-Men & F4 are controlled by Fox, Sony controls Spider-Man.

There isn't really anything unique they do for premieres. Other than there will be a million other times to see it depending on when it comes out during your cruise. We had Alexanders terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day.... and it seemed to run in both theaters constantly for the first few days.

I know Disney owns marvel now, and with the premier on my cruise (the live action version of Cinderella) we got to see it an hour early. That was really the only special thing.
