Movie party...which movie?

My MIL is throwing a back to school party for my DS and her great nephews and one niece. The boys are ages 8-9 and the one girl is 7.

Anyway it is a movie party. They are going to watch a movie, have popcorn and candy.

She ask me for movie ideas...any suggestions would be helpful. Probably needs to be rated G, and it doesn't have to be Disney. Just something they would be interested in. I ask DS, but he picked Toy Story 2, i just don't know if the 9 year old boys would be interested in this, plus its old. I don't really know whats out right now. TIA!

How about Night at the Museum or Aliens in the Attic? They're not G, but my son(8) likes them a lot, and so does my daughter(10).

Hi, I'm a TBer but this thread caught my eye while lurking ;] I suggest Bedtime Stories. Its the first thing that came to mind since it is directed right to the age range you said. Hope it helps :]

Percy Jackson just came out on dvd and my two boys ages 12 and 9 watched it and loved it, but dd6 also really liked it (there is a girl in it that is a pretty tough warrior!).

Also, beginning of Aug I think Diary of a Wimpy kid is coming out....which I didn't see but my two boys loved. And then there is always Alvin and the Chipmunks....all my kids really liked that!
