Movie News: Tom Hanks to play Walt Disney... Maybe

It's a rumor, but sounds really interesting. Rumor is Disney is looking to buy a script called "Saving Mr. Banks" about the behind the scenes story of Walt and P.L. Travers, author of Mary Poppins, in the making of the movie ect... Meryl Streep to play P.L.

I can think of better Walt Disney stories to tell, but think Tom Hanks would make an excellent Walt.

Hanks, not bad at all. But after watching The Artist for the second time this past week, i've believed Jean Dujardin for Walt, the look is definitely there as long as he can pull off an english accent it would work just fine.

I think Tom Hanks can be a good Walt, but I've always thought David Strathairn from Good Night and Good Luck would be great as Walt.

I just bought a book called Mary Poppins She Wrote, The Life of P.L. Travers.
Haven't started it yet, but interested to get to the Disney part.

I didn't see "Good Night..." but recognize the actor and agree that he'd probably do nicely as Walt.

Now I'm thinking of other Possible Walts.
