Putting together another playlist ... this time movie music / theme songs

Adding to the instrumentals-
Braveheart soundtrack-James Horner
Dances with Wolves soundtrack- John Barry
Titanic soundtrack(including My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion)-James Horner
I purchased a cd compilation from Amazon several years ago called Director's Cuts and it has the themes for quite a few movies. It's got Forrest Gump:Feather Theme, Lord Of The Rings:The Fellowship Of The Ring, Ghost: Unchained Melody and so on.
Some more songs-
Blaze of Glory- Young Guns II
Kiss from a rose- Batman Forever
The Power of love- Back to the Future
9-5

Grease soundtrack! I would say something like "Summer Nights, You're the One that I Want, Greased Lightning" for starters.

Pitch Perfect soundtrack is cool too.

Since Frozen Canuck had such an extensive list of some great movie songs, I thought I'd post just a few of my favorite non-musical movie soundtracks. Ones that I listen to a lot and have multiple good songs.

WOW! Thank you. That is some list for a "quick" go through :)

You are welcome! Playlists are a huge interest of mine. :music: You wouldn't believe the spreadsheet that I maintain that lists songs, artists, the multiple playlists they insert well into, country of origin, year released, and any pertinent song facts, etc. After I posted, I found a number of other songs that I had missed the first time through, but thankfully Shellsbutt caught them. I find myself still coming across songs that would work for your "April Fool's Day" playlist from a couple of weeks ago (at least I think it was you who posted). Let me know if you are planning any other playlists organized by topic. I would love to help.

P.S. With the Oscar's coming up, you could also add "City of Stars" to your playlist from La La Land. It isn't exactly a tune you hear on the radio, but it seems to be enjoyed by at least a few people. (Honestly, after listening to it 100 times in the movie, I was so done with it. :crazy2: )

I'm sure there's others I can't think of.

Don't forget Hedwig's Theme! And every other Harry Potter soundtrack. :D

Adding another instrumental:

My Father's Favourite - Sense and Sensibility

Love it so much that I went out and got the sheet music for it.

Anything by John Barry (original James Bond films, somewhere in time, dances with wolves)
Elmer Bernstein (Magnif seven, lots of John Wayne's movies, To Kill a Mockingbird)
Jerry Goldsmith (the blue max, patton, mulan, and he wrote the score for Soarin over Cali/world)
Miklos Rosa (Benhur)
Alan Silverstri is also an excellent film composer.
and John Williams is one of the greatest composers of all time.
