Moved Fron the Budget Board: Need weight loss company help!

I have done WW & Medifast. WW is cheaper, but you do have to count the points. I did lose weight on it, though. MF was expensive, but I lost a ton of weight, fast. I mean, 10 pounds the first week, then 4-5 each week after. I just didn't have the money to keep it up. So, I am now just counting calories- 1200 or less a day is my goal. I am planning to start exercising soon. i was interested in the Tony Horton stuff, so we will see.
Oh, and I totally recommend Dr. Beck's book. It doesn't tell you what diet to do, but gets you in the right mind set to change how you each. It's awesome. Good luck!

Wow, can't believe how many other WW people out there! lol DH and I both started WW in mid January and he's lost 21 lbs and I've lost 15 lbs. Also, for our May WDW trip, it's kinda a competition. He actually goes to the meetings and does the online thing, which we use ALOT and I just follow the program with the points. We can't believe how much easier it is than we thought and are so happy with the results!

Good luck to you (and everyone else!) whichever way you plan to go, it is so tough to lose weight, but with the commitment it is possible. :thumbsup2

I use http://www.livestrong.com -- totally free.

They have a "daily plate" database that has the calorie counts and nutritional information of almost anything you can think of to eat -- including most restaurants. You track your food and it tells you how many calories you have left for the day.

There's also differing groups and challenges called Dares, Dare to Lose Weight, Dare Exercise Daily etc, that you can post on and get support from other members.

Only problem with daily plate is that it's not a "dietician" database, its a user database, meaning I can take the nutr. info and post it on there.

MF is calorie restrictive, meaning VLCD (very low calorie diet) and btw Tony Horton is the bomb! I've been doing his P90X for almost 2 weeks now with great success! I could do 1 decent standard push up to start, last night I hammered out 21!
