Moved from the Budget Board: cheap hotels near disney

we are planning a trip in october with my DH's family but we found a cheaper flight if we fly out late friday. We don't want to pay for a full night on property when we are getting there so late. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay off property for the night. it would be late when we got there so basically we are looking for a place to sleep. THANKS for your help.

If you dont care where you stay check hotwire and enter a location. I found a 3 star yesterday near seaworld for $39 a night.........
Are you renting a car. The value resorts at disney are pretty affordable and will get you r/t on ME.

thanks. i will try hotwire. we really don't care where we stay and we probably are renting a car. so anywhere should be no problem.

might go with priceline and get a hotel near the airport - then next morning ride DME to disney.

I just stayed at the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista. I was prepared to change hotels because I was afraid it would be bad. Was not bad at all, although I think some rooms are better than others. Could not beat the price-- $178.00 for four nights inc. tax. Look for deals-hotwire is great.

Just stayed at the Galleria Palms this week-end. Very close to Disney Property via Sherberth Rd. The hotel was GREAT! Nice rooms, comfy beds and a pretty good continental breakfast. We were able to get the room for $59.00 a night through Spirit Airlnes but I have seen very similar rates through other sites. Have a great trip!

I'm another advocate for hotwire.com... choose the area you're interested in and you'll see a wide range of prices. You can also de-code several of these hotels (based on the amenities listed) from the hotel list on betterbidding.com.
