Man, I have got to get over here more frequently... I am missing out on way too many shananigans!!!
Ugh oh! Do you have pictures of your collection? I'd love to see it! Have you seen Ariana's (Pluto0809) collections? If not i will have to ask her to post the link. I was shocked to say the least!![]()
Poor Meg! She looks exactly how I feel when it's time to leave!
Your pictures are still infinitely better than my camera phone photos! And I just LOVE the last few of the castle at night! Gorgeous!!!
Wow, your Monday exhausted me...Lol Your kids are so cute, and your family seems to have such a good time together..I love that, there is nothing better than having fun as a family.
Dumbo is just such a sight at night! I LOVE how they did that area all over with the water feature and lights. I wrote this on Kathy's TR but I never used to go on Dumbo, but I did after they re-did this who area and I fell in love!! I will for sure be riding at night every time we go now. It's so pretty!
The barnstormer is a fun ride but the line is always so long. It's fun for kids though.
I haven't be in the Big Top store yet, but I will try for that this next time too!
We are going to Disney on Feb 26th and were hoping to get a BOG lunch fastpass for Saturday, Feb 28th. When I go to the BOG website it shows me the calendar with our trip dates. But when I select a day it shows that there aren't any fastpasses available for that day. So the BOG lunch website still works, it just doesn't have any fp's for any date after Feb 25th.![]()
I know that sad feeling all too well. I actually started crying when we were in line to see Mickey on our last MK dayThe kids thought I was weird but my wonderful Hubby consoled me! He knows Disney is my Happy Place.
You did have a bad Monday.
I love all the photos. We have been to BOG lunch twice. Never have sat in the main ballroom. We sat in West Wing the first time. Marissa does not like thunder, so that was not a good room for her. The next time, we sat in the other room. Cannot think of the name of it. It was quieter and nicer.
We all had the pork and loved it. No fat on ours. I would have freaked out if there was.
We all had the master cupcake as well. Loved that one.
We have yet to hear the suits of armor talk, it is always so loud and you get rushed right past them.
When we go again, we will try for dinner, because it would be very cool to see the Beast.
I hate the last MK day!! I drag my feet so badly walking down Main Street!
Good review of Be Our Guest; we haven't made it there yet, but I feel like we will sometime in the near future.
I should have been more clear I meant the picture of Prince Adam flashing into the Beast; I've read on a few other TRs that people weren't able to grab that shot, but you got it! Maybe your trusty old camera isn't so old after all?
Last day at MK is always the saddest. You want to run around and have fun (and it looks like your clan did) but you also just want to cryand Meg looks like she might!
I LOVE the pictures of Dumbo at night. There was one on the Disney Blog maybe a year ago that was unbelievably cool. I can see why that'd make you want a new camera! Disney fund, I mean tax return, season is upon us; always nice to get something fun with that money.
Also, what is up with the service dog just wondering about?!? Where is his human? What happened? It's gonna drive me bonkers!
Hi there...I'm mostly a lurker on the DIS, but wanted to let you know that I'm sad that you're on the last day, too. I'm going to miss reading along.
Thanks so much for writing it and your pictures are awesome.
Man, I have got to get over here more frequently... I am missing out on way too many shananigans!!!
I, somehow, have missed the Dumbo at night photos. I had no idea it looked so cool. Beautiful! I can see why you wanted to stall and see that.
I think you are too hard on yourself Mo...I think the Dumbo pictures are terrific. You got a lot done (even having to wait in line for that Barnstormer ride that is over in 20 seconds). The face on Peanut when you were talking about your last day at MK was so, so
.
I'm with you...love the Mine Ride during the day AND at night.
BOG! So yummy and such a beautiful restaurant! I want one of those chocolate cupcakes right now. Did you see the rumor that they are adding a breakfast at BOG?
That photo with Mike W. covering your face!![]()

There are never too many pictures of Dumbo! Especially at night with all the pretty new lights.![]()
I think I might have figured out a way to get some sort of good shots on Peter Pan. If you lean down a little and shoot forward underneath the sail, it seems to make for better pictures.
I got so far behind...How did that happen?! Here are some of the Winnies:
![]()
The others got put up in the attic when we had guests over Christmas and needed the sofa bed that the Winnies usually sit on, and haven't been brought back down yet!
That advert reminded me of this photo that my parents took of me as a child when we were rearranging my room:

I'm in there somewhere!![]()
I love your parade photos, definitely worth the FP! I can't wait to see Festival of Fantasy, I just hope it's still going when we get there in October! I need to see the Maleficent dragon!
I have the same issue with people and parades and personal space. Isn't it amazing how people forget their English when you say "Excuse me" or ask them to stop doing something? All the personal space-invaders seem to understand the universal language of an "accidental" elbow in the ribs though, I find! Whoops!
Be Our Guest is definitely on my Disney To Do List...I grew up watching Beauty and the Beast practically on repeat so it'll be a dream to go to the castle! Of course, I have to try The Grey Stuff too!
Those Olaf apples look like Mr Burns from The Simpsons (especially the one on the left!) Exxxxccccellent...
Poor Meg looks so sad to be leaving MK! I will freely admit, I cried when we left for the last time on our last (my first) trip! Then again, I also shed a tear when we walked in for the first time too, because I just couldn't believe I was finally there after 25 years of wishing and dreaming!
OMG....whew....I just finished BINGE READING your entire trip report!Yep...you heard me right...read the whole thing.
Okay, well, I read every single trip post update. I did not read all the the comments, replies and everyday life stuff. Dear Lord, I would be here until next year.![]()
Not sure if you remember me Mo (I'm Stephanie) and I was here for your PTR and planning of the big surprise! It turned out SOOOOOO great! The kids cracked me up....they really didn't believe it. You have to be so proud...especially with the BEST MOM EVER comment!
Since I have been binge reading I surely cannot remember all the things I wanted to comment on, but here are just a few things I can remember:
- LOVE LOVE LOVE all of your pictures, especially the ones of the parade. I can't wait to see this on our next trip!!
- I am so glad to hear that ya'll enjoyed the Mine Train....I have had a few friends be naysayers and express disappointment but I am so excited for this.
- The BLUE pearl you got in EPCOT...beautiful!
- I am AMAZED by all the Pixiedust your family received on this trip...how awesome! I think it's safe to say that the midgets all had an amazing double digit birthday.
- On a more somber note....sounds like you unfortunately encountered your fair share of not so magical CMs...that is VERY unfortunate.
- I am excited to join the ride to the end of this TR...and of course hope to find out when this elusive NEXT TIME you kept mentioning will be.
I am so glad to be back on the DIS after a 5+ month hiatus. I hope to get a thread of my own going soon...MAYBE!![]()
Seriously how cute are those??? He is an adorable bear!!!
Oh my word!!! I see your smiling little face in there!!! do you still have of these?!?
it really is worth the FP. if you want to really see the parade. Since we have done it once i don't think we will FP it again.
Is it supposed to stop?!?! I truly hope it doesn't! it's a WONDERFUL parade!
Pooh Bear is my favourite! Though I only started collecting about 14yrs ago, when my DH bought me one as his first ever Christmas gift to me! So if he ever complains about their growing numbers, I just tell him "Well, you started it!".
I do still have quite a lot of those toys! I think they are still safely in trunks in my parents' attic. The local charity shops will have a ball if my parents ever decide to move and I am forced to confront my childhood collectibles hoarding head-on!
I don't think the parade is meant to stop, I just have a phobia of missing out on Disney things that I see online! It's a problem...
I hope Meg feels better soon, that sucks that she has to miss her All-Stars game.
That is such a great thing to give up for Lent! I might have to adopt that one myself!
I am sure the Mickey you have there and shamu there has to be worth something?!?!
I will if I have any funny stories to share.Your leaving NEXT WEEK!!!!!I know you will tell us ALL ABOUT IT RIGHT?!?
Wow, that gold text makes your train station photo pop!
The Mickeys (I think they're actually Minnies...It's a long time ago!) are still there, I know that, one from Disney on Ice and one I think was a gift from someone's Disney holiday. Shamu was donated to children's nursery (kindergarten) for disadvantaged kids quite a few years ago though...He was a HUGE hit with them! He was so big and awesome, it didn't seem fair to put him in the attic when someone else who needed toys could be loving him!
Saying goodbye to MK just sucks!
You got some great PP shots on the way out!
As you know, I have that big Stitch stuffie. The story about how I ended up with him is coming up soon in my Dec TR. I love the Tsm Tsms and have all the Pluto ones. I also have the mini Stitch and Dumbo. I came very close to buying the XL Stitch one but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Ouchie on your legs!
Hmmmm, I read your PTR but for the life of me I can't remember what you guys had planned for the last day. I should go back and peek but maybe I'll just wait till you write about it.
Poor peanut. I feel her pain.
I think those shots in front of MK are my favorite "family" ones of the trip.
I'm glad all the stuffies behaved themselves while you were out having fun at the MK.
Oh, my poor, Mo...those poor legs.
I will if I have any funny stories to share.![]()
It is very sad that your trip had to end.And it is doubly sad that your trip report is almost over, too, since that the part we got to enjoy.
![]()
love the pics of the sky over dumbo before sunset - and tons of fun pics of that Dumbo lighting too! Great castle pics!
The look on Megs face in the one where she is sad to be leaving is priceless - so sweet, obviously they didn't have any fun at all![]()
icing your legs looks like no fun - hate that they were giving you such a hard time!
Please tell me you framed the family picture from the PP from your way out of MK!!What a fabulous picture. You would NEVER know you were all exhausted and sad to be leaving...the SMILES on everyone's faces are awesome!
What an amazing trip filled with amazing memories.
Sooooo....did you bring 2 vehicles for the trip????? You know, one just for all the stuffies!!!
I love love love your nighttime pics of the castle...these are my favorite!
So sad that your final day is over...I hate going home from Disney!
Those PP pics in front of the gates came out so great!! The lighting, the location, the family.. AHH I love it!! I hope this is one of the ones you frame because it is great!! You would never be able to tell you were all tired and hating that you were leaving!
Holy Cows!!! We are at the end? I know I am missing a ton of the middle stuff... I must take the time to go back and read.
THe last MK day is so sad...
However - I adore that last PP pic as you were leaving... That is a true gem!
I can't believe you had to ice your legs - that is awful! I sure hope they were better the next morning?
Loved your last castle pictures - they did turn out magnificant!
Love you...
D~
Sad as it is to say good bye to Cinderella's Castle, and all of the MK, there is always next time! I love that Disney does so many updates cause there is always something new to look forward too!
What luck to find that PP right out front! And you guys got some great shots; such big smiles for tired and sad guests![]()
Glad the stuffies were so well behaved!![]()
Your poor legs!I'm glad that didn't continue too long after you guys got home.
