Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

Our bounceback with free dining in August is a much better deal for us than the new promotion.
We got 8 nights at SSR in a 2 bedroom villa for 4 adults, 2 juniors and one child with an upgrade to the DxDDP for 5600.00. I cannot get anywhere near that quote with the new promo.:thumbsup2

I have a room only ressie now. I'm thinking about booking a package online, then calling when the phones aren't so busy to cancel the room only. Can anyone think of a reason why I shouldn't do this? Thanks!

I would definitely do this! My DH called to cancel our room only ressie and book a package and he was on hold for a while, the CM said the system was running slow for him, the whole call took over 30 minutes!! He has way more patience than me, I would have hung up way before that lol The CM booked our new package first and then cancelled our room only. I would book this deal online and then call back at a less "hot" time and cancel the room only.

You have to go for the full 7 nights to get the deal it seems. NWA might charge you nothing, or they might charge you a bunch. Its outlined when you buy your ticket and is dependant on the ticket you bought. They sell a bunch of different types for every flight.

You don't have to go the whole 7 nights. I booked 6 nights because we are going Jan 4-10 pre-cruise.

Book through the 'special offers' section.

Yeah, I followed a link I found on TGM but it took me right to a special offers page. I am booked under Special Rate type "7-Night magic your way plus dining January-June Offer".

It didn't ask for a code, presumably b/c I was already on the discount page. But it was super fast so may be worth a try if you are on hold forever. JJ

I just wanted to say I just saw a tv commercial for this deal on NBC, they're sure to book up quickly once people get ahold of this!

I´m trying to get 8 nights in June with 4 day base tix for 3 adults. Can´t seem to get anything better than $1400 for a value which still seems a bit much.

I finally got through to Disney and was told that the only rooms they could offer me was a theme park view at the Contemporary. This is for a family of 5 during Easter week. I guess I'll keep calling.

:cool1: Wow !!!
We are dancing around the house. DH says he feels like he won the lottery !!
We had a res at WL CL Deluxe Room for Feb. Since they are not offering the DL Rooms in the deal, we had to change hotels...(was looking forward to the BIG room at WL..but it wasn't worth losing the savings) ok no problem ! We could have stayed at Poly CL, but have done this 5x's. So we are staying at GF CL for 8 days/7 nights (2 adults, 3 children...5, 7, & 8)!!

WAIT....there is more.....
TOTAL SAVINGS BETWEEN WL CL & GF CL with deal popcorn::  :yay:
$2,300 !!! (plus the gift card)
:cheer2: :dancer: party: :jumping1:

I just want to say thanks to the people who "leaked" this information early enough so that I had time to think about it before booking!:worship:

I also want to thank the posters on the previous few pages who said you need to pay for the 8 day MYW Passes. I was told I did, so I had to buy two sets of passes (split-stay). I did what you said, went online and it let me do 1 day base ticket. Then I called CRO and had to argue (politely, but firmly) with the CM who said "no way!" After being on hold for 15-20 mins while she talked to Guest Services, guess what? She said they changed the policy!

Thanks to all of you I think I'm saving about $1200:banana: We really couldn't do this trip without some sort of discount!

BTW, maybe it was because of the 1 day base ticket, but we received NO disount on the dining plan, so I dropped that.

Thanks again!:cloud9:

I finally got through to Disney and was told that the only rooms they could offer me was a theme park view at the Contemporary. This is for a family of 5 during Easter week. I guess I'll keep calling.

Keep looking online. They kept saying my resort was sold out then I just looked for the heck of it and a room was available.

What kind of dining discounts get offered? I thought it was a certain amount pp per day unless it was 'free'.

Also thanks to everyone who posted what they were getting; my TA was adamant I could not get a discount and I did on my own.

I wish they would extend this during the summer months.

I put in several different resorts and it kept putting me to the Ft. Wilderness cabins. Doesn't appear to be anything for my dates in early Jan. Where are you all finding Quick Serve Dining? I don't see that anywhere!

I added 3 days to our 4. The only sucky part is that the dining wasn't included, so we're actually paying $300 MORE than before. Eh, I'll get over it. Dh was ok with it anyway. LOL

I called this afternoon to book a trip for Spring Break. I was able to book March 14-21 for quite a bit less than I booked our September trip with free dining. If we pay for the dining plan out of pocket, it will still be about $20 less than our September trip.

We don't have a Disney Visa, so this was definitely a good deal for us!

DU rocks!!! They work so fast! My agent just switched our ressies. We are staying at ASMovies preferred room, 3/14-3/20 2 adults, 2 children MYW package $1495.88!

I hope we can use the gift card for food!

We're booked! We cancelled our room only ressie and booked out pkg for May 2009. I got 10 nights at Coronado Springs and 9 day park hoppers for 3 adults = $2220, we ended up saving about $600. I'm still undecided on the dining plan but the CM said we could add it on at a later date if we so choose.

Now a question....we usually only do room only ressies, so what's different with a package? We know all about the payment and cancellation policies on a package vs room only, my sister said when you book a package you get a luggage tag, free photopass photo, coupons for mini golf, etc. Do you receive those upon check-in?

After you pay it off 45 days before arrival, Disney Travel will send you a big pacakge with your luggage tags (not to be confused with the yellow DME tags) and vouchers for the mini golf, planet hollywood, photo etc. Our usually shows up about 2 weeks after we pay it off.
