Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

I would rather a book 4 days get 3 days free.... meaning you only pay one... That is how I read this thread pages 1-20.

I am in the same situation, going Jan 3-10 and we are cruising on the 10th. I can't add a night before, because its not in the deal, and definately can't stay a night after.
We have to pay for jan 3rd on a AAA rate, then do the package for jan 4-10.
If they say 'sorry you MUST stay all 7 nights' I will say 'ok'.
Then simply check out early. They can't stop me from leaving early if I need to.
No, they can't stop you for leaving. But they can charge you for the 2 days you stayed, saying you've invalidated the deal.

No, they'd be losing money at that point. Even a basic hotel (hotel, not motel) of any size, even without resort features, needs at least $30 a night per occupied room to break even.

does anyone think it would be worth it if dining is not included to just drop it off your package???? I really wanna do some sit down restraunts but i dont know!!!

Well, I for one, and bummed that this might be a package only deal :sad2: Once again, no love for the AP holders.... by the time they get around to releasing AP rates beyond Feb 2009, most of the rooms they are willing to discount may be gone from this deal.

Someone please educate me. I am a first timer to WDW. I already have 4 days in Feb booked at CSR with regular ddp and 4 day base ticket. Will I be able to rebook? and why would I not benefit from 3 extra days free in addition to what I already have? Thanks to all for the info:confused3
I know that I would have to come oop for the dining, but with the 200 card and $40 credit on visa, I could get 3 more days and only be oop $54. Am I looking at this the wrong way?

HELP:worship:

How does this work out for AP holders?

Can I book a package for the 4 days and get 3 free, then buy myself a one day base ticket which I can turn in later to get money off my renewal of an AP? Also, what about the other people in my party that don't have AP's? Can I buy myself a one day base and buy them 4 day park hoppers or does everyone on the vacation package have to have the same number of days on their tickets?

I ran the numbers for a trip we may take in February - Feb. 7-14, 2009 - 1 adult, 1 child - base tickets - no dining - standard rooms

Pop Century = 30% savings
Port Orleans = 35% savings
Wilderness Lodge = 40% savings

I am sure this varies depending on all of the different factors. And the $200 gift card would be great. But there are postcard discounts at this level floating around. Not huge in my estimation. Since we had only planned on doing 5 days anyway, we won't be jumping on this offer - if this is the offer!

If they would just offer a 40% off room-rate I would jump at the offer. These packages are confusing on purpose. I've been number crunching all morning, and it's just so much more straightforward for them to discount the room.

But they can charge you for the 2 days you stayed, saying you've invalidated the deal.

I'd be SHOCKED if it's not to the contrary.

Disney would SAVE money if this person PAYS for 4 but only STAYS for 6 nights when the promo is PAY for 4, STAY for 7. :thumbsup2

Everyone must buy the same tickets on the package, but yes, you can upgrade whatever ticket you have (use it once to bring it up to full gate value) to an AP (new or renewal) after you have your ticket. An unused ticket never expires.

ITA! 40% all rooms and then add tix and DDP after the fact if necessary...

This is part of the reason we didn't renew our passes. First, you couldn't book DDP without purchasing 1 day tix, then the room only discounts became slim. Suddenly Disney realized they needed us, so they "let" us buy the DDP and the room discounts are getting a little better. But still it almost seems you are penalized for having an AP.

For a split stay--each is its own reservation. They are just two stays. They require two deposits. In order to use this (or any) offer for a split stay, each stay must qualify for the offer.

I wouldn't be. If nothing else, Disney would lose the money that the person would have spent on items other than the room rate if they left early.

Whats not huge if you are lucky enough to get a card. If this is general public promo it is huge to many people who haven't received card or email.

Exactly. I could put one day passes aside for later, but after our 2009 trips, we are planning on taking a couple of years off from WDW (:sad1: not my choice).

Since I am thinking a value resort for June anyway, most of my room discount would be eaten up by the unnessary 1 day passes :sad2:

Just curious...We are AP holders and Disney Visa holders and I'm doing the math on this deal and trying to figure if the AP rates or this deal will be better for our May/June trip...

Mousesavers says that AP holders got a AP room only rate for end of May through August last year. What was the discount or rate for Values??

It also said they offered a "AP package deal w/ dining." Was this just the AP room discount plus reg. cost of dining plan or was it a discount on room AND dining? I'm trying to get the history so I can figure out what deal may be best for us if history continues again...

Has Disney Visa offered anything for the May/June trips before?? I can't find anything on mousesavers that indicates they have.
Anyone know??
