I would rather a book 4 days get 3 days free.... meaning you only pay one... That is how I read this thread pages 1-20.
No, they can't stop you for leaving. But they can charge you for the 2 days you stayed, saying you've invalidated the deal.I am in the same situation, going Jan 3-10 and we are cruising on the 10th. I can't add a night before, because its not in the deal, and definately can't stay a night after.
We have to pay for jan 3rd on a AAA rate, then do the package for jan 4-10.
If they say 'sorry you MUST stay all 7 nights' I will say 'ok'.
Then simply check out early. They can't stop me from leaving early if I need to.

Someone please educate me. I am a first timer to WDW. I already have 4 days in Feb booked at CSR with regular ddp and 4 day base ticket. Will I be able to rebook? and why would I not benefit from 3 extra days free in addition to what I already have? Thanks to all for the info
I know that I would have to come oop for the dining, but with the 200 card and $40 credit on visa, I could get 3 more days and only be oop $54. Am I looking at this the wrong way?

How does this work out for AP holders?
Can I book a package for the 4 days and get 3 free, then buy myself a one day base ticket which I can turn in later to get money off my renewal of an AP? Also, what about the other people in my party that don't have AP's? Can I buy myself a one day base and buy them 4 day park hoppers or does everyone on the vacation package have to have the same number of days on their tickets?
If they would just offer a 40% off room-rate I would jump at the offer. These packages are confusing on purpose. I've been number crunching all morning, and it's just so much more straightforward for them to discount the room.
Well, I for one, and bummed that this might be a package only dealOnce again, no love for the AP holders.... by the time they get around to releasing AP rates beyond Feb 2009, most of the rooms they are willing to discount may be gone from this deal.
It is supposed to be a package deal; not for room only.
I'd be SHOCKED if it's not to the contrary.
Disney would SAVE money if this person PAYS for 4 but only STAYS for 6 nights when the promo is PAY for 4, STAY for 7.![]()
This is part of the reason we didn't renew our passes. First, you couldn't book DDP without purchasing 1 day tix, then the room only discounts became slim. Suddenly Disney realized they needed us, so they "let" us buy the DDP and the room discounts are getting a little better. But still it almost seems you are penalized for having an AP.
