Our family (five of us) are staying in two adjoining rooms (we hope ) how would you go about leaving tips for mousekeepers? I'm thinking of leaving an envelope in each room just incase there are two different mousekeepers? Maybe splitting the money between the two rooms? What do you think would be the best way to do it? Anybody else run into this situation? I've printed out adorable envelopes..saying "Thank You Mousekeeping".

We stayed in adjoining rooms with my BIL a few years ago at the Boardwalk and we treated them exactly like two different rooms and gave tips accordingly.

So we had two mousekeeping envelopes for each room and each we tipped $1. per person minimum, per day, so for our room with a family of four, the envelope had $4. or $5. depending on if we had $1.'s or $5. bills and my BIL's room with a family of 4 had the same. I usually just end up leaving a $5. for our family of 4 though.

We are in the same situation. I wasn't sure if the same Mousekeeper would have both rooms, even if the door were kept open. I made envelopes for each room, and just split our tip between the two envelopes. I need to make it a point to gather some more ones over the next week so I can finish filling them. We leave in 15 days!
