Mousekeeping at DLH

Can anyone share the current policy about how often housekeeping is happening at the DLH? Is it more often for Club level? (I’m guessing turndown service is long gone). I want to make sure I bring enough cash for tips.

I haven't been since November (13-17), but our room was never cleaned over the 4 days we were there. We asked for a few items when the cart was down the hall and they brought us towels when we requested them, but that was it.

We were there at the same time as DizMe and were told trash and towel service every other day, but we never got any service at all over a 5-night stay.

We were there in October. I had to specifically ask at checkin for full daily housekeeping, as they only offered every other day towels and trash. I also talked each day to the actual housekeepers on our hall and told them what I would like done and that I left them a cash tip ($20) each day. It was done each day to the usual high Disney housekeeping standard.

I think it is horrible that Disney is too cheap to bring back housekeeping at their deluxe resorts. Other "deluxe" resorts have found a way to bring it back (paying more for the workers, presumably), so Disney is just being cheap here. I hope more people ask for it at check in, and fill out those surveys after their stay and express their disappointment that it is not standard anymore. It is the only way it might change. They have not lowered the room prices to account for this reduction in service. I own my own business and am having to pay much more to hire for positions these days; Disney can't keep using that as an excuse. It is just how you have to operate your business in this climate.

We were just there and received a full service every other day. I asked at check-in for trash and towel on off days and received it each day (with extra towels, toiletries and beds made.) I did tip and do so regardless.

At least you received the service that you requested. I just stayed at the Grand and called to ask for towels at night. No one showed up. DLH sounds full service compared to that.

I recently stayed at GCH (Dec 13-16) and did get towels when I requested them, but they were never delivered every other day nor was the trash emptied as we were told would be done when we checked in.

This was the same as our experience at DLH.
