Mouse Ears . . . where to buy?

I've seen a variety of mouse ears (headbands & hats) in a wide range of styles. Can anyone list a few good places to look for mouse ears and what the specialty is in each place? (i.e. go to X for character mouse ears, go to Y for special occasion mouse ears, etc.)

I particularly want a headband set, but I'm not sure if I want to go traditional with red bow, or get something fancy . . . depends what I see. I just don't want to buy some, and then find another pair I like WAY more (because I was looking in the wrong store for the style that would suit me).

If you download the Shop Disney Parks app you can see many of the mouse ears available and locations of where to buy them. Le Chapeau and Emporium in MK, Mouse Gear in Epcot, and World of Disney in Disney Springs carry a good selection.

I am in Canada. We cannot get that app until we arrive in the USA. I wish I could pre-shop before arriving in the USA.

You may want to repost this in the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies forum, you'll probably get more hits there. This forum is meant to be podcast related.

Oops. I thought I posted in that forum . . . how do I switch the forum, or does a moderator have to do that?

You can find them in nearly every store at each of the parks. In my opinion though, the best variety is at MouseGear in Epcot. The hat shop on Main Street (near Tony's) is pretty good as well as The Emporium too.

Your post is absolutely fine here. I'll move it over for you though being that you requested it. :)

I'm dying to have the rose gold Minnie ears, they were out of stock everywhere last time I was there.
MouseGear at Epcot would for sure be the best spot to see the best variety.

If you want to buy before you go, use the parks shop app. Once you get to the parks, ears are sold everywhere.

Also thought I would mention that my wife said to check etsy if you are okay with good quality ears that are not authentic. Sometimes the quality of those sellers is better than China-made Disney items anyhow. ;)
Good luck!

The ears, both hats and headbands, can be found in practically every store on property. The selection doesn't differ greatly from store to store that I've ever noticed. Perhaps animal print is more prominent in stores at AK but again, I've really never noticed.

On that note, only a few places on property will embroider the hat ears. I believe one per park and one in the Springs.

And I feel your pain not being able to get the Shop Parks app. It's so irritating! Not that I'd order from it because between shipping, exchange and duty I'd have to re-mortgage the house but it would be nice to be able to browse ahead of the trip and see which stores carry what items. I do plan to order from the Disneystore website before we leave and have a few items delivered to our resort.

I second the Chapeau and MouseGears, but I haven't seen anyone mention the tent in Storybook Circus. They usually have a very good selection as well.

OP, I've been bitten too many times on looking at something and deciding to get it "later." You may never see it again! I suggest if you see some you like, grab them and if you're not 100% sure, keep the tags on. If you see some "later" you can do a return anywhere--you don't have to return it where you bought it. (Or just do what I'd do, and keep both LOL)

My daughter spent almost all of her GCs on ears last trip. She'd buy some, see someone wearing a different kind and then look for those. We display them on her wall with ribbons.

We are ear enthusiasts. :D I prefer the homemade ones found in several shops online.

You can't have too many ears!

We were also looking for the rose gold Minnie ears for our daughter. It looks like they are sold out everywhere.
