Mouse ears in room??

Hi,
We are going to WDW in September with my nephew, his wife, and their 2 kids, ages 8 and 9. It will be this family's first time. The 9 year old is REALLY getting excited! I think her brother is too, but she is even more! Anyway, she asked her mother the other day if there would be mouse ears with their names on them in their rooms when they arrive "since Disney knows we're coming"!

Has anyone arranged this ahead of time??
If so, how do I go about ordering these and having them in the rooms to surprise the kids?
Should I just order the personalized mouse ears online, have them sent to me, and then sneak them into their room upon arrival?
We are arriving around noon, so most likely our rooms would not be ready. Would the front desk hold the ears for me if I bring them and then put them in the room to surprise the kids while we are at the park that day??

Nothing can be placed in your room prior to check in. If you order the ears in advance and present them to the front desk, I'm sure they will be happy to place them in your room while you are out.

Anybody know if an 8 and a 9 year old would need Adult size mouse ears or if the Youth size would work??

Most adult women can wear youth size ears with no problem, so I would think youth would be fine for an 8 or 9 year old unless they have very large heads.
