:mickeyjum Hello to all. We will be going to WDW in July and need to ask one question. My dh will be using a motorized wheelchair (he can't walk long disntances due to illness) and are the doors to all the rooms capable of allowing a wheelchair to pass thru? Or do I need to actually get a Handicap room just to enter the doorway? We don't need a Handicap room, he will be able to move around in the room okay. Appreciate all the info I can get.

Thanks

I believe that the door are wide enough to accomodate an electric wheelchair even if they are not handicapped. I have been placed in non handicapped rooms and had no problem getting in and out.

Thank you for the information. It is greatly appreciated. Have a great disney day.

32 inches wide is the minimum width for a wheelchair accessible door. Most doorways are quite a bit wider than that - at least 36 inches. My DD has a narrow adult wheelchair and hasn't had any problem getting thru the doors at any of the resorts.
The doors we have seen at resorts are the same width for the accessible rooms as for the regular rooms at that resort.
