Basically, the point is that the Magic Band is giving a template for Apple's next watch concept, where all of your information will be stored on it and accessed as easily as MBs theoretically are -- that your life would become as incorporated in thenew watch as MBs are incorporated into a WDW stay. Also said Jobs was the largest single stockholder in Disney and he sat on the board of directors, so he had a ringside seat for the development of MBs.
I don't know if it's accurate or not, but listening to the presentation, it is kind of amazing everything Disney has now funneled into the wrist bands, and with a little tweaking, you could see how it could be extrapolated into life outside of the parks.
