Anyone have any good non-drowsy remedies or things to take before some of the motion rides?

Meclizine works we'll or my family. Doesn't make any of us drowsy. Very cheap on Amazon....and you can vary the dose based on how you are feeling.
We just got back from our first UO trip in sept...it was WONDERFUL....but, yes , motion sickness canbe a concern.
Meclazine, huge help.

I was just about to ask this. I've tried Dramamine and Bonine and neither seemed to work. I even tried to pace myself. The last park I went to I got through most of the rides before I started to feel queasy, but everything was walk on, and there wasn't much down time between them. I'm looking for something that will work better than either of those two options.

If you can get a prescription for the Transderm Scop patches I HIGHLY recommend them. They go behind your ear (a lot of people get them for cruises). I get motion sickness very easy, to the point where I can't hardly ride any ride at Universal. With the patch, I rode every ride multiple times and never had the slightest feeling of dizziness or nausea.

I don't have insurance, so the doctor's visit would kill me just to get the patches. I don't suppose there is any way to get them without one?

The patches themselves are also quite pricey. The two times I have tried them they made my pupils dilate and they made me have crazy bad dry mouth.

My friend in the States tried that too and said exactly the same thing......wasn`t pleasant. But of course everyone`s different.

I only need something for FJ and Hulk if I want to go on more than a few times.....I used bonine and it was good, ginger does nothing for me ride wise, but afterwards if you`re feeling nauseous ginger candy helped me with that feeling and helped it pass.

I have occasional vertigo and take tablets for that which may kind of help too as they have the same active ingredients as some of the products mentioned.

But you really need to trial and error things as we all react differently to different products.

I've tried Dramamine and Bonine, and I'm usually okay for the first 5 or 6 rides at any given park. We have a Six Flags here, and it doesn't really matter what rides I ride.. after the 5th or 6th one in a row, I just start feeling sick even with the Bonine etc.
