"Mothers don't stop Getting angry with stupid bigots who (mess) with their children!"

Sorry, I'd have answered ya sooner, but I was vaccumin' the gay house, foldin' the gay clothes 'n decidin' what to have for gay lunch. :teeth:

I've learned it's hard for some folks to realize we as a society evolve whether they agree or not, that's the nature of education. ;)

Now you owe me a new monitor.:rotfl2:

And Robinrs:worship::worship:(now I'm not dead so you don't need to walk over me.;))

:confused3 What else are we supposed to call them - Open-Minded Challenged? Narrow-Minded Americans? The Westboro Baptist Church?
 :thumbsup2
and on top of it Chasity has probably one of the most well aged mothers out there. She is beautiful and from every report a very nice person HOW COULD YOU NOT want to be female.
Stunned. Just stunned.
Oh lord, we definitely need drinks:

LOL And that's so pretty! Deserving of The First Post, if there was one here. ::yes::

Your rights start with you. And end where someone else's begin.

I completely understand where golfgirl is coming from. What worries me more is that int his small population so many attack her fro saying she is opposed to it. Hey golfgirl you are no alone, but you won't find many people post here because they don't want to be put through the ringer. I agree.

There is a moral code to life and enough is enough. Everyone wants to let people live free and die. That idea is one day going to kill us all. Everyone is not right! I wish I could really say the examples I see coming as ok lifestyles but i'm afraid it would cause an out cry,.

Needless to say eventually as a society we are going to have to figure out whether we are going to let everything slide because " we don't want to hurt people feelings" and we are going to say NO you need help, serious mental help. After all, it's one thing to dress like a guy and present yourself as such its a whole different level when you actually remove and change parts. We aren't Mr. & Mr's Potato heads with interchangeable parts, we are people. Sometimes things are just wrong and it's ok for them to be wrong.

As for my rubbed int the face, come on really the gay lifestyle is EVERYWHERE! Like i said I have no real problem with it i get it you're here, you're *, I should get used to it. I would however find it easier to get used to if you weren't so dang loud about and trying to tell me i'm wrong if i don't agree with 100% everything you say. It's everyone's business because eventually it will change laws, how programs are funded. ETC.
You officially win the Jennifer Ford award for deep thoughts and eloquent speaking. :thumbsup2
Oh... and that's not even counting chimeras! There are folks born with TWO different sets of DNA. It's hard to say how many of them there are, because most will go undetected their whole lives. But there is one famous case of a woman whose uterus was actually that of a fraternal twin. She was required to get her kids a DNA test for welfare purposes, and the test came back saying she wasn't the mother, even though she had given birth to them herself!

Try reading up on it, sometime.
I saw that case on a medical show...truly fascinating! Makes you wonder about using DNA in legal cases, doesn't it.

Actually I some times think its the exact opposite. It must take a heck of a lot of work to stay so rigid in a belief. Author Maya Angelo spoke about this.

Although she was talking about racist, it pretty much fits. "in order to deny some one else there rights, you must spend tons of energy and time to do it".

How much work it must be to completely isolate yourself so you don't have to try and understand some one who's not like you?

How much work it must take to hold to stereotypes. God forbid, you actually interact with a gay couple then where would you be? You'd find out they pretty much have the same day to day life as hetros and then you'd have to actually confront some of your (your in the general sense) assumptions.
You would think so, but unfortunately people belonging to certain "groups" are masters at closing their eyes, stuffing their fingers in their ears, and shouting "LALALALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU" any time someone dares to contradict their precious little beliefs.

Personally, I don't understand how they can go about their lives with so much cognitive dissonance. I'm just supremely glad I'm not one of them. I'll always take a bald, depressing truth, over a pretty, comforting lie.

You're sure you didn't mean Anita Bryant? ;)

I'd like to be able to walk the streets without seeing straight couples kissing, but that ain't gonna happen. :confused3

Chaz Bono can scream to the top of the trees that she is a man now, doesn't make it so.

She can legally change her name, take male hormones, have a mastectomy, hysterectomy and try to grow man parts. Doesn't change the fact her DNA is female and will ALWAYS be female.

Yes, I teach my kids it is stupid to try to change things that can't be changed. If they asked me about Chaz Bono, I would tell them she needs sympathy and pity because she couldn't love who she was, she was trying to always change what can never be really changed.

That's nice. I really don't think he wants your pity.

You don't actually know what the DNA is, as noted above, that's true for anyone. People can have weird variations in sex chromosomes and seem 'normal.'

However, I get the feeling Bono would tell you that what he couldn't ever change was the feeling that he was a guy.

Again - would you say the same thing to someone with a **** job? Or someone who lost a lot of weight? Would you say 'you're still fat, you can never really change that'?

What, exactly, would you say to a hermaphrodite? 'You're a...'?

Also, just for the record, though I believe he hasn't, transsexuals don't 'try to grow man/woman parts,' they have them surgically created. Just like someone born without an ear can have one surgically created. Though I gather you'd tell them they were still an earless weirdo who couldn't love themselves enough and can never change that.

Actually they take male hormones and try to increase the size of the ******** to act as a *****. I guess that is one female part they want to keep for that reason. Yes, I think it is weird, gross and abnormal. Don't care what you think, that is just MY opinion and I'm not afraid to own it.

What about the rest of what she said? I'm really interested in your opinion because it's very difficult for me to understand your thinking.

You are entitled to you opinion but I doubt you will get a lot of people seeing it your way.

Chances are you are right, it is highly likely he will always have female DNA seeing as the anomalies mentioned earlier are pretty rare. So what? I also think it is kind of, I don't know, off to go through drastic surgery because you are so unhappy with who you are (and yes, I include elective plastic surgery in this) but in the end it is the USA and while I don't really understand the reasoning I see no reason why Chaz can't make for himself a decision other than I (or you) would make.

I also don't know why people try so hard to convince other people that they are wrong in these hot-button issues. In these situations the people on either side aren't going to be swayed on a Disney message board.

Another sad, closed-minded point-of-view.

There's several options.

Ah Frank...always the voice of reason. Or at least unswaying, Vulcan-like logic. :thumbsup2

The point is moot, because I don't care if you understand my thinking. Just stating my opinion and not trying to sway anybody,

Oh, ok. Just posting for the hell of it, then? Exercising your fingers?

Or the couples in line for an attraction at a Disney park who are so far down each other's throats you could swear they were going to get acid burns from their partner's stomach?

Classless is as classless does...

Good for Cher! I would have done the same thing....there i nothing that any of my children could do to make me love them less... I just want them to be hapy and healthy individuals:thumbsup2
