Yes, my mother and mother in law both acknowledge me on Mother's Day which is very nice. I guess they think I am doing a good job with their grandsons. 
Usually my mom will give me something thoughtful- one year it was a Mary Englebreit cookbook (I love Mary E!)..this year she hinted it was something I wanted at Williams Sonoma. My Mother in law usually sends a gift certificate- the first few years it was to a restaurant, but the last 2-3 years she has sent a $50 G.C. to Target--very nice! It's kind of funny getting something from my own mother...I think my mother in law does it to show she loves me, approves of me as a wife to her son and as a mother to two of her grandkids....her other daughter in law isn't quite as low key as I am....(muttering nut case under my breath....
