Hi,

I am just wondering if anyone knows anything about if they are having a Mother's Day buffet at the Disneyland Hotel this year? We will be there for that week, and it's also our anniversary on the same day - May 11.

Thanks!

I called today and got the prices for the buffet. $83.02 per adult (age 10+) and $21.06 per child (ages 3-9). Under 3 is free.

I have not been able to find any other information as to what exactly all that money includes.

I have done the easter brunch a few times a couple years ago and am going back again this weekend :yay:

From everything I have heard about the brunches it seems that they are all very similar except for which characters and of course the seasonal and holiday specific foods. With Mother's day and Easter both in spring you should se very similar foods.

I would check out this thread on the Easter brunch to get a feel for the offerings and see what happens when we all get back :)

I am so excited!!!! I hope its even half as good as it was when we went in the past.

The CM should be able to give you some info. I called to get info on it and its Royal Princess Brunch with all the princess(well not all) and there is arts and crafts. CM told me that children can go around to each princess or character and meet them and interact with them. After hearing that you need to leave your table and greet the characters and stuff and the price, we decided to do Ariel's Grotto for Mother's Day. Though I have heard wonderful things about the Brunch and that the food is TDF, I just didn't think it was for us as this will be our first character meal and I wanted the full experience of a regular meal.

I had originally reserved a seating for the Easter Brunch, but then found out they raised the price almost $30. That is ridiculous to me! Way too much for my tight budget. Maybe next year! I've heard so many good things about these!

My husband took me last year to the Mothers day Brunch at The disneyland hotel called Royal Princess Buffet.... the prices u mentioned above seem like quite a bit compared to last year, i think for my husband and i plus our son who was free since he was 2 it was around $120 total the experience was Beautiful!! the Grand ballroom was decorated like a wedding with a pianoist(sp) playing in the center of the room. Happy mothers day lights projected on the walls, Characters on each end (Cinderella/Fairygodmother with the coach, Snow white and Dopey with a forest set-up, and Donald and daisy. u basically go get ur food by urself.. drinks r served to u and u can come and go from ur table as often as u please. the kids had a seperate buffet for them with adorable mickey and minnie shaped dishes! the food was great!!!!!!! we recieved collectible pins when we entered as well!As far as the food available they had Breakfast food(mickey waffles, omlets, pancakes, eggs, bacon, bagels etc and they also had lunch/dinner style food with turkey, ham etc and in the center they had tons of differnt fruits and desserts including fondu! if u are a huge dinsey fan and u r willing to pay the cash.. its definitley worth it!! one of my most favorite experiences!! i do have pictures so if anyone wants to see let me know :o)

That sounds great but i don't think i would ever find it worth paying almost 90 per adult..... you could do 2 almost 3 of the charecter meals for that!!!!!!!!!

After 4 hours of service, characters, food and good people I would do it again!

They don't kick you out you can stay there as long as you want :)

I understand that the price is high and not worth it for everyone, but, I would just like to add that the $83.02 is the total price, after tax & gratuity. The base price is actually $67 per adult and $17 for kids. I think there is such a large price difference because they figure that the kids don't eat as much as the adults-and they don't necessarily eat the same stuff as the adults (not that they can't).

I haven't done the Mother's Day Buffet, but I've done the Easter Buffet and about 4 of the Thanksgiving Buffets, and they are just wonderful! I think of the price as more a price for the "event". It is a holiday and you are paying for your family to enjoy a relaxing, entertaining, family meal together at Disney! They do everything top notch! The food is wonderful, the characters are great with very extensive backgrounds for pictures. The drink service is awesome-they make sure you are well taken care of! The ballroom itself is just gorgeous! I really wouldn't compare this to a regular character meal. Again, I do agree it's pricey, but I have never regretted doing it! :)

Well i will try to keep it in mind for if i'm on a trip around those times!! I does sound really good! i guess they don't really do one around sept-oct time huh??? What about christmas do they have one for then?

I believe they only do Easter, Mothers Day & Thanksgiving. I'm not sure why those holidays and not others.

I'll have to let my DH know the price of that buffet. Then he'll think the Goofy's Kitchen prices are a rockin' deal!! :lmao:

He's kind of in denial about the cost of a Disney vacation... hey! You only live once...make it good! :thumbsup2

stacymomof2, what time do you arrive at the resort? We will arrive around 7:00 pm to the hotel- can't wait!!

We get into the airport around 2:00 so I figure we'll get to the hotel around 3:00'ish...then straight to the park we go!! :woohoo:

I was invited to go this year with DBF and his family. But my family made plans and I couldn't back out of them. I so wanted to go.
