Mother's Day at WDW - What are you doing?

Since there are a lot of DISers visiting WDW during Mother's Day, I'm curious to know if and how you will be celebrating!!

I conveniently made a dinner PS for Ohana's on May 8th - the first time I get to go to out for dinner for Mother's Day!

It will be the second day of our trip. We are planning on visiting AK that day, and I have made (actually DU made!) a ps for us at the Animal Kingdom Rainforest Cafe for lunch. I thought it would be a fun thing to do with all my kids. Have no idea what we will do for dinner... Maybe go to Disney Quest and snack at various places there.

We arrive on May 8th and Ohana's is one of our ideas for that first night.

May 8th is also my birthday, so I get a double celebration. We have breakfast PS at CRT and dinner PS at Chef Mickey's. Yes, my kids will enjoy them tremendously, but they are secretly for me too, LOL!!!!

We will spend the day in Magic Kingdom, and yes, I'm prepared for it to be super busy.

We will be arriving mid-day and will be taking the day easy. DH will be driving all night so (even though it is Mother's Day) he will be taking an afternoon nap. We are planning to eat at Beaches and Cream that night since I didn't make PS for that day. Then we are going to take the ferry boat to MK in time to see Wishes. Last year we were at MK for Mother's Day and all the mothers received a carnation as they entered the park. BTW, last Mother's Day the crowds at MK were light and we had a wonderful day!

I'm taking my 72 year old mother for her first trip ever! We will be having the Mother's Day Brunch in Epcot and then wander around the WS! We are both very excited!

This trip it's just me and the kids. DH really didn't want to go back to DW but the kids and I really DID want to go back. So I thought what better time than Mothers Day!
Anyway, we are going to sleep in a little bit and then have Mothers Day brunch in EPCOT. We'll tour the countries a little bit head back to POP for a swim and then MGM for EMH.
Can't Wait!

We are heading into Epcot for the Boy "hero" character meal. We had not originally planned on even visiting Epcot since our ds are 5 and 2 but when this meal popped up is was a must for them and I can't wait to see their faces when they see the characters.

We are doing the Hero Brunch at Epcot! It should be really great I think.

Last time we were there, it was over Mother's Day and we spent the day at Epcot. We didn't plan anything special that day. The park wasn't crowded at all. We were able to get nice seats by the water at The Rose and Crown and had a great dinner.

It will be DH and I and two other couples. We have a breakfast PS at Kona Cafe at about 10:30 (can't you just taste the Tonga Toast?) and then plan to spend the day around the pool at SOG. The guys might even play golf. Then I think we'll try the Italian restaurant at SOG. We'll do the parks Monday through Friday.

We are arriving on Friday before Mother's Day for a 6 night stay at AKL. I am having fun picking restaurants and making great plans.

On Saturday, we are going to the Mother's Day brunch at Epcot. We did this in 2003 and enjoyed it very much. We will spend the day at Epcot with dinner at LeCellier.

On Sunday, we are going to the Mother's Day breakfast buffet at Boma. We are going to spend the day relaxing .. going to the pool, napping, reading. Dinner will be at the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

I will be with my Best Friend that day, and I plan on taking her to Rainforest Cafe for lunch. My dinner, I haven't decided as yet.

BTW, last Mother's Day the crowds at MK were light and we had a wonderful day!

I hope the same holds true for this year!

We haven't made any reservations for Mother's Day, I think we'll just wing it!

I wouldn't mind lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern or 50's Prime Time Cafe, two of my favorites! We always have our big meal of the day for lunch, and then just snack and pick for dinner.

We'll see!

We arrive late morning on Mother's Day. Have dinner PS's at Chef Mickeys. Don't know what park we will hit that day. Just so excited to be able to hit one

CRT for breakfast and LTT for dinner. The in-between will be at MK. I can't wait. This will be one Mother's Day for the memory books.

For those going to Epcot, they take a free picture, similiar to MVMCP. The last time we were there on Mother's Day, they had stations setup in front of China (with your back to the lake), Canada in front of the gardens and a place in Future World. I saw somewhere that they are doing it again this year.

We will be going to Epcot in the morning and then MK in the afteroon with dinner at CRT.
