My almost 6yo daughter (5/12) and I spent the past weekend at WDW to celebrate Mother's Day. We arrived in Orlando at 7:45 pm on Thursday. We had ME resesrvations and had received our information the day before we left. We were quickly greeted by ME CMs and directed to the Welcome Center. We waited only a short time in the line and were quickly assisted. We waited again a short time for the bus and had a quick ride to OKW. Check in was again quick and easy and we were in our room by 9ish. We did ask them to hold our bag when it hadn't arrived by 10:30 but it was delivered to our room right after I called the next morning. We had breakfast at Olivia's at the resort and were on a bus to AK walking in right at opening at 9:00. We rode the Safari, saw ITTBAB which I'm getting a little tired of, rode Dinosaur twice and Triceratop Spin, stood in line for some characters and were out by 12:30. The only bad part was that my daughter ended up in tears because she was not quite tall enough to ride Primeval Whirl and she had really been hoping to. (I thought it was strange that this ride is so very similar to Mullholland Madness in California Adventure and she was able to ride that one last summer) We took a bus to the Beach Club and had lunch at Beaches 'n Cream. YUM! We then walked over to Epcot arriving about 2:30 where we encountered the biggest crowds of the weekend. We went first to Soarin where there was an 80 minute wait. We got FPs and headed to Test Track where there was a 75 minute wait. We went back to the Land and my daughter did the Jr. Chef program. We then went to HISTA which again is getting old, Living Seas to see Turtle Talk and rode Ellen's Energy Adventure (mainly just to kill time) When we had gone back to Soarin we found it was down and they couldn't tell us when it would be back up which was very disappointing. We had a quick bite to eat and headed over to Test Track to use FPs we had gotten earlier. After TT we rode Spaceship Earth and were considering going to see Illuminations when we heard 2 CMs talking and they said Soarin was back up and running. We ended they day by riding Soarin which is one of my favorite Disney attractions. We headed back to the resort after that.
On Saturday we were up early and at MK by 8:30. For the first time ever we saw the opening celebration which was so nice. We rushed to try waking Tink up in her store but by about 7 past 9 she was already awake. We headed up to Main St. bakery for breakfast and shared a bagel and a cinnamon roll. Yum again! We caught the new Cinderellabration show on our way to Fantasyland and loved it. We then headed to Fantasyland and rode the Tea Cups, Peter Pan, Snow White, IASW, the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, the carrousel and saw Mickey's PhilharMagic all by noon. We left and headed to Frontierland stopping to ride Haunted Mansion on the way. In Frontierland we got FPs for Splash Mountain and waited about 30 minutes for BTMR. We then used our SM FPs and headed to the Main St. barber shop just about 3:00. We got my daughter's hair cut and styled and then sat right outside to watch the SAD parade which I always love. We meandered through the Emporium on out way to LTT for our 4:00 PS and were seated very quickly for a really good meal. After eating we went to Adventureland to ride Aladdin's carpets and POTC. We were able to catch Cinderellabration again. We then went to Tomorrowland and rode the speedway and got Space Mt. FPs. We headed over to Toontown to ride Barnstormer and see the Princess room in the tent where we waited about 45 minutes but saw Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White. We were the last ones to leave the room and Snow White asked my daughter to walk a ways with her, holding her hand. It was so sweet! We then went back to Tomorrowland to ride SM. While in line the ride went down and we waited about a half hour to get on it then. It was my daughter's first time and she loved it! We went back to the hub to watch Spectro. We then rode TTA and the Buzz ride. We were in line to see Stitch's Great Escape and the CM's were telling us that we would miss Wishes if we stayed. My daughter wanted to see Stitch but when realizing it was more of a show than a ride she wanted to leave to see Wishes which I had really wanted to see and was again a great end to the day. We walked through some stores on the way to the bus back to the resort.
On Sunday I surprised my daughter with the My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party at the GF which was wonderful. We even rode in the front of the monorail over to the GF. We headed back to OKW to try out the new slide which we loved, did some shopping at DTD and hit MGM at 5:00 just in time for the parade. We knew this was an EMH night and planned to stay later. I didn't realize how many things wopuld be already done for the day. We ate at Pizza Planet, rode Star Tours which needs to be updated, saw Muppets 3D, rode ToT twice (which had scared my daughter about a year and a half ago and which she now loved) and had her height checked for RnRC. I knew she wouldn't be tall enough but she insisted and again ended up in tears when she wasn't. I told her we could get a couple Mickey bars and head into Fantasmic. The CM selling the bars could see she was a little sad so I explained what had happened. He told her Disney doesn't want to see any sad faces so her ice cream was on him. I thought that was the best little piece of unexpected Disney magic we experienced and thanked him profusely. We headed into the show and enjoyed it as much as always. After the show we planned to ride the Great Movie Ride but there was a 45 minute wait so we ended up leaving seeing that we were both exhausted.
On Monday we had breakfast at Olivia's again and were on the ME bus at 11:00 for our 2:00 flight. All in all, it was a wonderfully busy way to spend Mother's Day weekend, we hated to leave but will definitely do another girls only trip in the future.

Wow, what a whirlwind! You packed a lot into the day. Glad to hear that you had good experiences with ME. I am a little nervous about it for next week. Good report!

WHat a great weekend!

I am taking my 10yr old son on a Thursday - Monday trip next month. I hope we get as much done as you did !!
(the one reason why I am not taking my 6 yr old this yr, is because he is 47 inches - and would cry to.. he goes with my alone next spring!)
Thank you for sharing!
