Wow, I really don't know what to say other than I hope you, and your mom have the best trip anyone could ever have!!

Thanks.... still sitting on needles till that check comes, but at least our trip should be paid off sometime this week.... just need the check to pay for our way there!

Fingers crossed that the check comes very soon.

I understand about pain..I have 2 herniated discs in my back and we have tried everything before surgery (go to the neurosurgeon on the 18th)...but nothing has worked and I am in pain walking and standing. I too will be renting an ECV...so I can enjoy myself.

I cannot wait to read more and the check came in he mail.

I know I said I didn't have any pictures on my computer... however, I finally figured out how to hook my digital camera (last years Christmas gift) to my computer... however ALL MY PHOTOS WERE GONE!!!! I took a couple of pics just to get the hang of it... so now I got a couple pictures

I just wish they were better pictures.... I don't know if you can tell, but I look stiff in my picture because I was holding the camera away at arms length for my self-portrait.... ugggghh and then it took me forever to get the pictures smaller.... at first they were so huge, when I looked at a preview I could count every pore in my face, I prefer the smaller version better

Not officially packed, (Mom won't let me do that yet!) but when we bought new clothes specifically for the trip... hers went in the hall closet... mine went in my suitcase!

I have a serious LACK of DISNEY apparal! I have a short jumper that has MICKEY on it... however it is not suitable for the parks, so I plan to wear it the day we arrive and I used to have a pooh T-shirt but it must have shrunk cause it no longer fits. So I got to thinking (dangerous territory there) I got us both plain red t-shirts and was wanting to take them to someplace that may put something Disney on them for us.... just an idea, but don't know of a place that does Disney yet....

As for your pictures you look perfectly fine to me. I hate taking pictures. I always do this wierd thing with my face...ughh

As for disney apparel, I dont really wear much of it. Just regular clothes that will fit my body. And my crocs. I do have a t-shirt I bought last year. With a Disney logo on the front. Just for last years trip. I never wore it. I also made my own shirt for the 2005 trip I took with alot of my family members. I used a black sleeveless shirt, and put everyones name that went with us, and my disname. I think I will wear that one again. Afterall, I can't wear it anywhere else but Disney. I got an idea from another poster to make new mickey head shirts, that look way cool. I have all the supplies, just did not get around to it. I don't really know what is going on with me. I am not really on the ball yet. I know Justin, has basically his wardrobe, but I still need to pick him up some jean shorts. He has some Disney T-shirts. Xavier, is getting to the age where he thinks he is to cool to wear the mouse. I did buy him one shirt that matches with his lil brothers shirt. Hopefully, I can convince him to wear it.

Every trip prior I at least have one bag packed 2 months prior. I must get on the ball. I am going to stop by the store, and see what I can find tomorrow!! I just have to, we are coming within weeks of our trips. But, that does make it all the more exciting!!!

WHO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

The trip is FINALLY paid off!!!!

Now all that is left to do is get the van, save up money for gas, plus some spending money, and get any little odds or ends that we may have yet overlooked..... but regardles... the trip itself is paid for .... now we just gotta get there!

We are still waiting on the check, but something has come up that will make our trip happen whether or not we get the check or not....

As I said, we are waiting on the check so we can get a minivan to drive down in... the reason for that is we feel our other cars (a 90 and a 95) may not make it... the 90 will be traded in and the 95 currently needs a new water pump, so we can't drive it even around town!

Now for the good news..... a friend of my Mother is retiring in August and is wanting to go to Florida to visit relatives and she has made an offer that, while not entirely appealing will work out for all 3 of us. If we haven't got the van by the time for our trip, she will let us drive her van... in exchange for taking her down with us (she will find another way home).. Now, while this works for us, it isn't all that appealing mainly because this lady while being nice has a very abrasive personality.... she knows everything about everything (although usually is wrong), but don't bother argueing with her cause she won't cave.... she is also loud and talkative.... I only say this to say why I even hesitate. I do appreciate her offer, and feel that even if we get our van we should still uphold our end of the bargain. She will be paying for some of the gas and will have to chip in our hotel room, since it will go up after adding another person.... So the trip down may not be as enjoyable as I wanted it to be, but a little compromise will be worth it!

UPDATE!!!!!!

Lots have changed since, I posted this morning!!!!!

A couple hours after I posted we phoned our attorney, and the CHECK ARRIVED THIS MORNING!!!!!! We went and signed the papers (even though we don't officially get any money for 10-15 working days) We got the van!!!!

Now... we are obligated to take the friend to Florida, because it would be morally wrong for us to back out, but we will have our own vehicle not a borrowed one! (If she backs out its fine, but we will take her unless she decides not to go)

But for now its time to do our HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!N

Then you and your mom will drop her off with her relatives?? If it is the later, that isnt that bad, but if abrasive woman is tagging along through your whole birthday trip.

We will drop her off at her relatives (I believe they live in Orlando).... but after 2 days of her I will probably be and pulling out my hair! She is really a nice lady, just hard to handle being around for long periods of time.

Thanks.... I was sooo relieved and overjoyed to get that... next step, getting our official documents... been watching the mailbox.

Will get a pic of the van as soon as I can... camera isn't working right now, I think new batteries will do the trick though!
