We are thinking about spending a night in San Diego on our trip to DL in Sept.

I'm not sure if we want to spend the night or drive there twice. If we can find a decent hotel that is inexpensive that might help lol.

We plan to do both Sea World and the Wildlife park while we are there.

There are no motels very close to the Wild Animal Park, as far as I know.

If you stayed in Mission Valley/Hotel Circle, you would only be a few minutes from SeaWorld, and the drive to the WAP would be about 40 minutes, and it would be cheaper than staying right near SeaWorld.

Check hotels.com and see what they recommend. Have fun!

As the previous poster said, there are tons of hotels/motels in Hotel Circle, which is ~10 minutes from Sea World. There's a Motel 6, a Howard Johnson's, Quality Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Best Western, and Travelodge, just to name a few. Hojos usually is advertising $60/night on their billboard (I drive by there on my way home from work). I have no idea how nice/nasty the rooms are at any of these places, though. Probably fine for one night at a relatively cheap price.

No, there are no hotels near the Wild Animal Park, but as the previous posters mentioned, plenty near Sea World.
