hello i noticed that the Disney Good Neighbour hotels have 2 economy hotels. Motel 6 Anaheim and Quality Inn & Suites. i assume since they are listed as good neighbours that they are clean? if you have stayed at these please share your pros and cons.

also, can you walk to the park from these hotels?

I have stayed at Motel 6 MainGate , which is on Disney Way, just down from Garden Grove. I stayed there June 2014, June 2015 and June 2016. I have had no issues staying there.

ART stops right in their carpark, just beside the main door / reception area. There is no breakfast but they have coffee until 10am and have vending machines and microwaves in the reception.

There is a pool which I have never used but always seems full of families.

The rooms are huge, comfortably fit 2 king sized beds. They do have adjoining rooms if that is something you need. The blocks at the back of the hotel dont have a lift, just stairs. There is a lift in the main building.

I've stayed at the Motel6 twice (it's where we spend our first night before moving onsite if we want to save a few bucks) and we're spending 3 nights there after Xmas to say 'goodbye' to the ToT. To us onsite prices just aren't worth it for less than 4 nights.

It's always been clean and not excessively noisy and we've felt safe (all females). The desk staff has always been just wonderful, friendly and helpful. Parking is free and we've never had problems finding a space. Fridges aren't 'standard', you pay a bit extra for a room with one. There are no coffee pots in the rooms, coffee is available in the lobby. There isn't any closed storage (i.e. drawers or closet) but there are cubbies. I don't feel it's 'walkable' (I think it's a bit over a mile?) but they sell ART passes and the first shuttle departs 90 mins before park opening. This trip we're considering using Uber.

Check out Stanford Inn and Suites, when I checked a few months ago they were currently the cheapest.
They have a breakfast that's meh, okay, free parking, free wifi and it was clean. They have some fun rooms with bunkbeds and two bathrooms.
Touring plans rated them in their list of best deals for Anahiem, I stayed there and I'd do it again!

The Quality Inn does offer Fridges at no extra cost. (Also WiFi and the free breakfast). Parking is $10

Walking is right a 2/3'rds of a mile (.66), here is a marked map.

And the Motel 6 is about .85 of a mile of a walk each way.

I should add, I have stayed at this specific Quality Inn a couple of years ago when my House in Anaheim had a major repair that required us to leave for a couple of nights. We picked it for its low cost, and the fact we like Choice Hotels in general. Clean, decent rooms, of course, nothing fancy. I didn't know that they had Bunk Beds available until I posted the website for the Motel.

The walk is 1.3 miles from the Stanford, and also has ART service, as does the Motel 6 and Quality Inn.

The only thing that designates a hotel a good neighbor hotel is if they sell tickets.

Ive stayed at the Motel 6 Anaheim Maingate a few times. Never had a problem. Its my "on a budget" go to for staying close to DL. And its about a 15 minute walk (with stroller at the time I timed it) from motel to security check point.

I find it fits my needs for sleeping and showering purposes as thats all I ever do there. We spend very little time in the room since we are at DL most of the days.

I think the motel 6 near DL rates pretty low on trip advisor..... I tend to look over the reviews there (with a grain of salt lol) to gauge hotel choices.... it makes narrowing it down a little easier.... I think we were weighing the motel 6 and the super 8 on Katella, motel 6 rated way worse.

If driving to the Motel 6, bring a rug for the sink outside of the shower area, bring a card table as there are no dresser top surfaces, bring a cooler, bring extra blankets and even a microwave. The plus of this motel 6 is that is easy access to your room door by elevator or stairway. Do not count on the small area of the motel for microwave use, it is a very small area. I have found walking to not be problem and ART system has several options around the Motel 6, can get dropped off at Peacock, catch a different route at the RI. The pool in the winter is not warmed, not a very great resort area for a vaction. The plus is that there is no carpet in the room and coverlets are thin, so is clean to those standards. Most trip reports have this motel 6 short on towels and poor sheets. If I am visiting by myself, I stay here, and if we are staying at the RI, we always spend our first night at the Motel 6 before transfereing to the RI.

Why not check out the Quality Inn next time you visit, they have the fridges, microwave, bath mats and towels, and a free breakfast for about the same price....

One issue I just thought about, the Motel 6 is pet friendly, which can be a plus or minus depending on the person. And you are only allowed the pet if someone is in the room, so you would need to take them to the Disneyland Kennel during the day.

The Quality Inn doesn't allow pets (except service animals).

can i go behind the quality inn and cut through the fairfield Inn parking lot to walk to the parks?

As far as I know, no, there is a wall that makes the Quality Inn and Holiday Inn Express use the Manchester sidewalk to Harbor.

Edited to add - In a couple of years, the Quality Inn, will be the closest to the new Eastern Transportation area and new security check and bridge will be.

I have stayed at the Quality Inn on Manchester many times . Clean and safe. The only issue I had was that one time they gave me a room closest to the freeway . I complained that it was too noisy and they transferred me to quieter room . No problem with noise the other times I stayed. I always ask for a second floor room so I dont hear people walking across my ceiling

We have stayed at Quality Inn Manchester 8 times in the last year. We are frequently given the room closest to the freeway and I have no problem with it. (I do sleep with earplugs all the time, anyway). It's clean, inexpensive compared to Harbor Blvd hotels. Fridge & microwave in the room. Free breakfast is decent. I like to make waffles and my men like the sausage gravy & biscuits. Also, I'm a Choice Privileges member and I like racking up points for free nights! If pool is important to you - theirs is small. I have never used it.

It's a .7 walk to the park. In fact, we got in the park one day for a fast pass return to Space Mtn from our hotel room to the line - in 12 minutes. (I walk fast) I don't think you can cut through the Fairfield parking even though I always wonder if you can.

Bonus: I like to stop at Panera for iced tea on the way too and from the park!

Also with the Motel 6 parking is free. I know some motels/ hotels charge for parking but Motel 6 is one that does not.

Motel ^does charge for Wi-Fi and doesn't provide free breakfast, and a microwave and fridge. Plus Motel 6 charges an extra fee for a second person (and of course more for a third, etc.) And no Frequent Stay program.

Quality Inn does charge $10 a day for parking IF you have a car (not everyone has one), but offers all the above at no extra costs.

So it does come down to which you prefer.....

Plenty of options at about the same price to allow people to decide what is more important.
