Most under rated restaurant in all of WDW??

My favorite restaurant in ALL of WDW is Fresh at the Dolphin, and almost no one knows about it. I guess that qualifies it as "underrated".

The lunch buffet has a mediterranean theme, and it's not the "usual" buffet food. They don't offer the gyro sandwiches every day, but they're almost heavenly. Whatever they have on a particular day, it's consistently excellent. (Try small helpings of everything - you'll want to try 'em all.)

I wish they served dinner, but it's B & L only.

I definitely agree with some of those S/D restaurants. Palio is definitely our favoirte Italian in all of WDW. And, FRESH..cigar95, don't tell everyone that secret!! :rotfl2: ..before you know it we'll have to wait for a table :rotfl: !

But, honestly FRESH is great not only because they have an excellent breakfast and lunch but on the weekends they serve BRUNCH, try finding a WDW restaurant where you can get eggs or breakfast food after 11-1130 am (not the "fast food" kind :lmao: )

The Plaza is also good, just wish they wouldn't monkey around with their menu so much. They had this wrap I used to love and dropped it from the menu :sad2: , but still a great place to have lunch although these days we are majorly drawn to CP as their food is SOOOOO good and what variety!

For underrated, based on both food and service I woud say the Concourse Steakhouse. It is comfortable and the food is excellent, with a wide selecxtion. Also it is three meals per day. The only downside is occasionally the noise from Chef Mickey's.

jwfla,
I'm taking note of your suggestion of Fresh at the Dolphin...we love brunch and if we stay at BWV might try it....sounds like a good one...

My vote goes to the Sand Trap Bar and Grille at the Eagle Pines/Osprey Ridge golf courses. Best spot for a pure lunch at WDW.

Another nod to Fresh. I've done both breakfast and lunch and enjoyed them both. Definately a thumbs up on QUALITY.

Another nod to TrailsEnd...thumbs up on VALUE...and the fact that I can eat fried chicken to my heart's content....as a matter of fact, I can't even tell you what else is on the buffet!:rotfl2:

Not sure if these are "underrated" but after just returning from a "quick" trip which included Epcot I would always reccomend Alfredo's in Italy. Also, in DD House of Blues is great - atmosphere and food! Either way - enjoy! ;)
BTW - this would be post #1 of many for me!

I've heard the Trails End mentioned several times-this is a buffet? Is it for lunch and dinner?

Trails End is a buffet at Ft Wilderness. Would go along with it being underated, Probably one of the cheapest buffets, really good plain style food and lots of it. We fed growing boys here many many times!

I do believe they serve both lunch and dinner, but close earlier than some. We took the Covered wagon ride after we ate here, and the driver stopped along the way for the water electrical parade!

FoodQuest at DisneyQuest gets my vote for underrated.

They have Italian, American and a Dessert counter. It is operated by Cheesecake Factory, and is really good. We get the Pizza (made to order) and the Desserts are FAB. Love Linda's Fudge Cake!

We go at least once a trip!

Concourse Steakhouse, the Garden Grill, and Chef Mickey's. I love and enjoy all of these and they are so great for the whole family!

Although a bit pricey, the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk is superb! From there you can walk to Epcot through the International Gate for Illuminations.

Olivia's Cafe at Old Key West (sit-down) and Starring Rolls bakery at Disney MGM Studios. They have some great sandwiches, and a nice little patio area with chairs and tables and umbrellas to eat at. Shh, let's keep these under wraps!

i agree about the plaza in mk, beirgarten( really pretty cheap for dinner and a short show) and brown derby. Trail's end is our favorite breakfast place ( husband likes buffet and if i gotta do a buffet it better not cost as much as the others do :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ) but we've gotten good dinners there also and love the whole FW area...that whole part of disney is underrated imo

these are great suggestions guys...I'm taking note of all of your choices, especially ones I've never known about, like Olivia's and Fresh, etc.

Columbia Harbour House in MK. Okay, I wouldn't actually say it's under-rated as it's mentioned a *lot* :lmao: BUT it is worthy of an extra special mention in my opinion. Of all the CS places we went to during our WDW trip, that was by far the best - it really stood out - great food, *great* choices on the menu (for vegetarians too!!) and they had lots of seating upstairs with plenty of unoccupied tables even during a busy Saturday in MK. I think a lot of people don't realise that there is an upstairs :ssst: We ended up going back there twice and can't wait to return again.

We've always enjoyed our breakfast or dinner at Boatwrights @ PORiverside. It never seems to come up too often and it's always a great escape from the madness for us. The blueprint omlet for breakfast is outstanding. Also at dinner we've never been disappointed, we love the steak or prime rib.

Best,
Brando
