Most terrifying moment of my life happened on an ABd trip

Thank you everyone for the outpouring of concern and support. I am overwhelmed and touched. The blood work came back normal and I do have an appointment to see my doctor and and acupuncturist when I get back home. :goodvibes

I'm glad you're doing well. That must have been terrifying. As an ophthalmologist, if your eye is still not closing well, make sure to keep it lubricated and taped properly at night. The best way is to hold the tape horizontally, catch the upper lid with the top half of the tape, then bring the tape down vertically to attach to the lower lid/cheek. Then stick the "tail" of the tape down, the part that's directly to the side of your eye.

Thank you! That’s pretty much how I have been keeping closed to sleep. Glad to know that it is the recommended way. I have been lubricating diligently and following the doctor’s protocol. I appreciate the feedback though! Thanks!

Very glad it was just Bell’s, even though I am sure that was horrific until you had the imaging back. Very happy everything worked out for you, prayers and well wishes.

Wow - scary. I will admit, when I first starting reading your initial post about the health crisis, Bells Palsey was the first thing that I thought about. A family member had it a few years ago, but I hadn't heard about it before that.

I'm really happy that you were able to finish your Grand Slam trip! We really enjoyed your trip report.
