I just ordered the Entertainment book for Olrando, what is the most you have saved by using this or other discounts? I would assume WDW discount codes would be the biggest savers, since we are all awaiting the new set of codes, what other coupons do you use?

Lets see. I used the entertainment book for rental car discounts (free second driver $50, free day $20). I ate at 3 nice restaurants B1G1 (savings of about $50). That's only $120 and discount the price of the book equals $95. But I may get to use it again before it expires. So possible savings $150-$200 over the year.
Used AAA card at Universal to save on room ($40) eats and souveniers (maybe $10).

I just used mine to save $25 off a United Airlines ticket for an upcoming trip to Disneyland. I figure that paid for the book right there. :earsboy:

We have also used the 2-for-1 coupon at Pebbles restaurant in the Crossroads Center (near WDW Downtown Disney) and saved around $14.

I often use Entertainment coupons for rental cars... often save around $25 per rental that way.

I saved about $150 on a trip to Victoria Canada using 2 ferry coupons and about $75 on a whale watch tour. I bought the Seattle book when they were on clearance at the end of the year, for about $10 each. Plus we used some for a couple of restaurants there. I'd say that was my best ever for having the book for a week. :flower:

We saved big time on an efficiency type hotel suite at Riverview Suites (part of the Hilton) in downtown Wilmington, NC. The rack rate for the room was $180, the discounted rate was $170 or so and we got the place for $85/night! It was spectacular!!

Each year the Entertainment book offers for the Orlando area vary. The best we ever did was $250 savings on a 16 day trip. When I got the book I went thru it carefully and made a list of all the Lake Buena Vista, Kissimmee area offers. We used several for area restaurants. At the time, Maya Grill at Coronado Springs was one of the offers using the card (not offered now tho). I believe there are offers for restaurants in a few DD hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd. - Baskervilles in the Grosvenor (excellent buffet btw) is one, and there are others. We used it for mini golf on Rt. 192. There are also offers for rental cars and airfare too. We left the book on the front seat of the rental car when we left MCO.
Also...I have used a local Entertainment CARD in other areas as well.

Don't forget... you can buy one from a non-profit youth organization I run as a fundraiser we're having. We love helping people save money from these books... heck we use them too! - see my signature to order :)

I ALWAYS use the "Entertainment Rate" to book at Universal's on-site hotels. For our honeymoon, we stayed at the Royal Pacific for $99 per night, then the last two years we've stayed at the Hard Rock for $125 per night. You just can't beat that!

I also use the National coupons coupled with codes from Mary's website...I usually get our car SO cheap.

should I get the ORLANDO version of this?we have our cities version(for eats,,etc) and i know it has a hotel discount for all over,,,but should I buy the orlando as well?we will be doing USF/IOA for one night/oneday..and doing WDW for 2 days...we were gonna stay at a wdw hotel but......what kind of rates can I get with the book(going in JUNE)....any other great room rates?also..what are the "eats" coupons?please LMK what it is if u have a book,,trying to budget out everything and see if its woth it,,TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Universal Hotels are not doing Entertainment Book discounts this year, much to everyone's disappointment. The only discounts at the Loews hotels seem to be Fan Club or AAA, and they are not always available, depending on your dates.

I usually buy the local book, and use the national coupons almost as much as those for the local restaurants.

Does anyone remember about when last year did the Entertainment books go half price?

One of the best Orlando Book coupons is a 2 for 1 (normally $38) experience at Sky Venture on International Drive. For this you "sky dive" 3 feet off the floor (they provide all the gear, just wear tennis shoes) in a wind tunnel...er, a wind tunnel is totally enclosed and doesn't affect the viewers. (ask me if you want more info)

Even if you don't spend a penny doing this, the professionals who perform inches away from your eyes are worth going to see...and trust me, your teens will think you are cool! This is all free unless you want to spend the money actually doing this...which you probably will like us...but you don't have to...in order to see some of the most entertaining things you can ever see for free! Bet you'll still be talking about the day you saw this even if you don't do it...and watching it is free!

...I also think someone needs to mention that a month subscription to the Entertainment Book for whatever place in the US you are going to visit (including Orlando) only costs $3.99...and you can print all the coupons you like (which will expire 2 weeks from printing)...and then cancel the subscription.

We do this all year long. Wherever we are going we buy a $3.99 subscription, print the coupons we will use in 14 days and cancel it.

I have specifically asked if this is ok to do...and they have said that is why the subscription option is in place! They want people to use it for a month and cancel it if they only need the one month subscription!

I'm always amazed that more people don't use this option!

I have never used one in Orlando. But we took one to New Orleans one years and saved around 150 on dining and such. We got to eat with a buy one get one free at Brennan's. It was very nice. I dont think I will get much use from an Orlando book when we go, because we will not be leaving the property.

I use them locally too and have some when we go out to eat. They realy are a great deal. :earboy2:

Well, I just got mine a couple of weeks ago (paid with the $10 off), anyhow, I had booked a reservation on hotwire and when you booked something on hotwire worth more than $95, you get a $30 rebate!!!! I paid $50/night for two nights at a hotel, now I get the $30 rebate, lol. Plus we'll be using the titanic coupons and we are on a serious budget so all the b1g1free coupons in the back of the book. Also Disney on Ice is in town and there is a b1g1Free copon there, so possibly that. So far more than what we paid for the book!

**Oh and I forgot that we got a rental car for 6 days for $114 economy car from Budget and then we get one day free.

How do I subscribe for just 1 month? I have the book at home for our area. Website? Thanks

Nobody said anything about a coupon saving 50% off the Dolphin and the Swan, do they still exist?
