My and my DH are going away just the 2 of us and are looking for the most quiet romantic places to eat in Disney as we are leaving my two beautiful daughters home. We are going in early Feb and also celebrating a very big birthday of mine.

Thanks

I think that Artist Pt. at Wilderness is romantic. It is pretty quiet compared to most WDW restaurants. Check out the menu, if you like salmon they serve the best.

Most romantic and quiet would be either V&A or Bistro because they are not on any dining plan. Both are very adult oriented. V&A has better food but Bistro is a prettier place and the food is still quite good here.

For those restaurants on the dining plan, I think JIKO is the most romantic. There are not many kids here, they have a wonderful wine selection. The restaurant is darkened with a gorgeous decor and a great eclectic menu.

V&A or Jiko depending on tastes, budget and use of dining plan.

I'll second this recommendation. As far as checking out the menu goes, I'd wait a few days until the DIS folks upload the latest menu. We went on Monday (1/21) and really enjoyed it despite the changed menu.

Quiet is a very tough order at any WDW restaurant. The most quiet we've seen are V&A and Bistro. Blue Zoo CAN be quiet, unless there is a convention at Swan/Dolphin--then it can be a madhouse. The same would probably hold true for Il MUlino, tho we've never eaten there.
We've been to all the other Signature restaurants on multiple occasions and from time to time, they have all been loaded with kids. You just never know how it's going to be until you actually get to the restaurant. Once in awhile you can walk in and it's fairly quiet--and that's when the family with 6 kids comes in and gets the table right next to yours.

I give a third vote to AP!!!!!!

Great responses. AP is one of my favs, but I second the nods for V&A and Bistro for a quiet, romantic dinner. If you can get a window table at Bistro at 8:30, you can enjoy Illuminations from the comfort of your table, and you'll probably finish late enough to enjoy a quiet stroll with fewer crowds afterwards.

A late reservation at Bistro. By the time you're done, the park should be emptying and you can walk hand-in-hand without the crowds.

I would go with Bistro and Jiko. Both have great food and ambience and tend to have fewer children. I love the food at Artist Point, but find the dining room somewhat lacking in warmth and ambience.

V&A are on the platinum dining plan. I'm sure it's not cheap since you can only get it by staying at a deluxe or one of the villas.

It might be romantic to watch the MK fireworks from your window table at the
California Grille in the Contemporary Resort. Sipping a wonderful glass of vino
from their vast wine list. But you can't go wrong with any of the suggestions
here. If you're in love, it doesn't matter where you are as long as you're together!

Victoria and Albert's is the most romantic place on property.

Second to me is Jiko

Though we have not tried V&A yet (hopefully soon), we have read awesome reports. DH and I had a very quiet, candle-lit, romantic dinner at Shula's(at the Dolphin)...and there was not a child in sight. Just one more option to consider.

Despite all of the football stuff, Shula's has really nice atmosphere with all of the dark wood paneling. You may not agree, but I find sharing a meal (steak and side) to be very romantic! :lovestruc

Again though--if there happens to be a convention at Swan/Dolphin, quiet at Shula's could also go out the window. One of our "loudest" meals ever at WDW was at Blue Zoo. Normally very quiet, the Blue Zoo that evening was pandemonium! Multiple tables of 8-10 folks all talking (and sometimes yelling) loudly back and forth all evening. There were two large conventions/meetings at Swan/Dolphin that week, and all these people appeared to be conventioneers or business folks on expense accounts.

Well, I'm now partial to the California Grill -- esp. during Wishes fireworks. My boyfriend (now fiance) proposed to me there on Jan. 12 in the middle of the fireworks and no one knew. He even popped out a ring and still, no one knew. It was very, very romantic. (He knows I would have DIED from embarrassment if a big production was made).

Even aside from the proposal, it was a truly magical place :goodvibes and I want to go back NOW LOL
