We are flying into Sanford next month. Typically, we rent a car; but this time we are just doing a 1 night stay before heading out on a cruise. We will then return and spend another night's stay at WDW before returning to Sanford.

I know the link to multiple service providers, so that is not necessary to share. I'm just looking for your testimonials on reliable RT service. Keep in mind, late night (about 10 pm arrival)

Thanks in advance!

I would seriously recommend renting a car. Are you planning on hiring a car service from Sanford to WDW, then to the port, and then back to WDW, and finally back to Sanford??? That is going to be costly!!
I would think it would be much better to rent a car!!! And cheaper.

Hmm...maybe renting a car for 10 days when I would only use it for 2 is still ok? But what about parking at the port for a week, what's that cost? Also,I"m nervous about driving from Sanford to OKW and then to the port...lots of gas $$ there...plus if there is an issue driving down Saturday--I would MISS THE CRUISE. At least on DCL you are guaranteed of making your ship.

I had planned to use the shuttle and then the DCL bus to the port. I know those are two costs of about total $530...(with a traveling party of 4)...

I don't know here..but I'm open to further counsel??

You could rent the car from Sanford to WDW to port, then return it after dropping everyone at the ship. Reverse it when returning...shuttle van from the ship to the car rental office, rent the car, drive to WDW, then back to Sanford.
The drive is an easy one...takes about an hour. And if you get a gas efficient car, gas costs aren't going to be more than $50..if that.

Ok, bumping one last time...

It seems most of you flying into SFB do the rental thing. I get it. It makes sense for the most part. But after pricing it out, the relative $$ savings I can identify isn't great enough to offset the convenience of having someone else hassle with driving.

So, that said...one last call out. Do ANY of you have a trusted transportation service from SFB? Thanks!

This is who I have used in the past. I have driven twice and used Ed once...well, for WDW to port. I have used him from MCO to WDW as well.

I've never had to go from Sanford to Orlando, but I have used Ed Korgan to go from MCO to Universal and can also highly recommend him. He is a very nice guy, very friendly, personable, and professional. He picked me up in a black Suburban and offered a free grocery stop at Publix. He's also a cruiser. I remember him talking quite a bit about how much he loved cruising. I hven't seen him on the boards in a long time, but know he used to be member here on the DIS.

We are regular users of the Sanford to WDW route and have always found excellent service with Happy Limo.
