Most Disney Cruises???

We were able to book a three day wonder, 2 days before sailing.
I think it depends on time of year.

Unlike like most cruise lines, Disney raises there prices the closer the cruise gets unlike the other cruise lines that lower them.

Best cruise rates are from booking early ......

Although that has not stopped us from being at Disney and deciding to go on a Disney cruise... Was great had the ok from the wife to go a head and call them and we would go...
called Sold out... lol.. Just my luck...

But hey I was still at the World....

I think that the answer depends on the time of year you want to sail and what season it falls under. For example a holiday cruise: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years would be more likely to fill up than say a mid-January cruise.

Also, unlike other cruise lines the best prices you are going to get are when you book EARLY not the last minute discount type of cruise line.

So if you were thinking of going say in Nov 2005, you would do well to book now (especially through Dreams Unlimited) where you will get locked into a lower rate and they offer you a rebate on top of it. Then they continue to watch your rate for you and if for some reason a special came along, they would apply it to your reservation. If you can afford the initial deposit, then you have up to 60 days prior to change your mind and cancel for a full refund.

Also, for me it helps with budgeting if I can make payments towards my vacation as I go along, just feels less painful that way. Even if I've paid for 90% of the vacation and then for some reason can't go as long as I give the 60 days I can still cancel.

Hope that helps,
Brenda

You also need to take into consideration your location. Although many have said that the "best" rates come from booking early, and I believe this is the truth in most cases, the best rate that I have ever received was booked a month out.

Generally, Florida Resident Rates do not hold true to the "early booking, best rate" rule.

Yep, gotta agreee with you there. You FL folks do get some pretty good discounts. And not just with DCL. My cousin is always emailing me about the great deals in the Sunday travel section.

We did receive some excellent discounts in the past....However, with the economy getting better and the demand growing, it looks like our FL Res discount is history....

As for booking, it's becoming a necessity to book earlier in order to get your preferred stateroom...we used to book our 7 day cruises 4 months in advance - now I would definitely book at least 7-8 months prior to sailing....
