Looking for transportation to and from the Orlando Airport to the Grand Floridian November/December 2022. What is the best/cheapest option. We are a group of six including 3 children.

Best is relative. Cheapest would probably be walking. Guessing you don't want to do that.

Here are the options and they all have pros/cons:
* Shared Shuttle (Mears or Sunshine Flyer)
* Private shuttle (Tiffany Towncar, Happly Limo, etc)
* Rental Car
* Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) Would be difficult with 6 but not insurmountable

I think the shared shuttle services are around $30-35pp each way. So RT for 6 would be ~$360. You can probably find a private shuttle for that amount.

Rental car could be more expensive than that since you need room for six (and do you need car seats). BUT, it opens up options do go off site if you so choose.

Ride share might be the cheapest, but could also reach $300+ once you get to RT, and car seats can be an issue.

3A and 3C with Sunshine is $156 R/T. That's going to be your cheapest, reasonable choice. Walking and city bus (lynx) would be cheaper.

I'd spend the extra money for private transfer.

Kids under 2 are free with Sunshine and kids over 12 pay adult.

I don't think hitch hiking is viable for 6 with luggage.
Edited to add Sunshine is $32 A and $20 C round trip

The cheapest method would be to take a Lynx public bus. $2/person and 1 (free) transfer is required. That's the cheapest way...is it the most feasible way...?

I'd split up your 6 into 2 groups of 3 (2 children with 1 adult and 2 adults and the 3rd child) and take a rideshare. Depending on when you arrive at MCO, the price of the rideshare will vary. I've had it be as much as $70 (during rush hour) and as little as $35.

Even at $70, $140 for two rideshares would probably still be better than any other option.

Although perhaps Sunshine Flyer or Mears is cheaper? I'm not really aware of their pricing. You should check.

I already posted, Sunshine is around $150 round trip.

You suggested $140 each way for ride share. That's almost double.

I suggest booking a car service. You can book one with a grocery.stop. FL Tours is.a.board sponsor. Tiffany Towncar gets good reviews. Tony used to get great reviews. A few recent posters had issues with some of the drivers Tony uses

Mears Connect is $32 roundtrip (not each way) for adults and $27 for children. Worked just fine for my family of 6 in June and likely with that much luggage ride share might be iffy ensuring you get big enough vehicle for passengers and all the baggage. I might be wrong but I recall private van or limos service for that many people was way more costly than Mears Connect??

I thought Mears/Sunshine were ~$30 One Way. OK. I'm wrong.

Thank you everyone, maybe I should have clarified- we have 3 adults (potentially one more), 2 children who are under 12 and one lap infant. It looks like sunshine might be our best bet. Looks a little cheaper than mears, and I think my 4 year old (and Train obsessed father) might enjoy the theming.
