What do you consider the most child friendly restaurant at the World Showcase at Epcot? We are taking our 4 yr old DD there this summer. I love San Angel Inn but was wondering if there was a better choice out there. Thanks:D

We have done a lot of the restaurants at Epcot and they are all pretty "kid-friendly". The ones that my DSs seem to get the most attention in are Biergarten and Teppanyaki. At the Biergarten, the cast members are just fantastic. Last year my older DS celebrated his 7th birthday during our visit. Our waitress made sure that he got a cake, got sung Happy Birthday in German and during the Ompa bands performance the whole restaurant gave him a toast. It was really something extra special and my DH (this is his favorite place) was in seventh heaven!

At Teppanyaki, they go out of their way to make sure that the kids enjoy themselves. My DSs each got an origami frog and the waiter helped them with their chopsticks. They also kept coming around to talk to the boys and make sure they tried everything.

Most of the places you will find are wonderful but these are two that we keep returning to just because of the extra special service.

I'm not turnlisa, but I've got to tell you that I agree with her about Teppanyaki. I'm surprised you heard/read negative things about it because it usually gets a thumbs up on forums. We went there for lunch and I made the p.s. really because my dh loves "Oriental" food (Japanese, or Chinese). I also wanted my children to have options other than chicken nuggets, hot dogs and pizza that they ate more times that week than I care to mention  I am not a big fan of Oriental food and even *I* loved it! The chef was very entertaining and the kids enjoyed it and it kept their attention. There was a combo of New York sirloin and shrimp but I wanted tenderloin and shrimp and they substituted the tenderloin for me. The shrimp were good but the tenderloin was wonderful and done just the way I like it. The lunch menu is similar to the dinner but you will save $$ at lunch. Hope this helps.

I agree about the food and am also surprised that you saw a bad review. The only thing I ever heard bad about the place is the prices are kind of on the expensive side but nothing too unreasonable. The food is great! My kids don't even usually like vegetables but there is something special about a guy with knives giving them to you! ;) I usually order the chicken and my DH has ordered items with both the steak and the shrimp. We all loved everything. The dressing on the salads is my DH's favorite and he always tries to find something similar everywhere we go. I highly recommend trying it if you are interested. The show alone is worth the trip!

Teppanyaki is my kids' favorite World Showcase restaurant, BUT please be aware that the menu has recently been changed and lunch is now much more expensive and no longer includes a salad.

Epcot places my kids loved on last trip (ages 8 and 11)

Le Cellier (kids meals of grilled chicken, steak, awesome kid desserts) :D

Rose and Crown ( again, grilled chicken breast, fries, mashed pots, rolls with butter and fruit and cheese sampler plate) :D

Teppanyaki was their favorite! DD had adult chicken/steak combo, DS had kids chicken, both drinks with umbrellas. Great chef, nice family as dining companions, one of our best (and most expensive) meals of the trip! :p

Our DGD loved the Biergarten in the Germany paviloin. She was 2 1/2 at the time. The Oompah band and dancing were great fun. The food is served buffet style with something for everyone. You are invited to join the CM's on the dance floor or you can just watch!!

We aren't a "buffet with kids" family. But the Biergarten buffet was very enjoyable and if you don't mind getting your own food (and your kids food, and then more food for your kids and then, oh, my, my food is cold....see why we aren't buffet with kids people) it was a really good buffet and the restaurant is certainly child appropriate. You may share a table here with strangers.

You may also share a "table" - actually a grill - at Teppenyaki. We really enjoyed it here and had a wonderful time, but the grill is hot and nervous people with fidgety toddlers may have less than a great time (they put both ours on the ends, where the grill is cooler - but that meant I had a hard time helping them).

Le Cellier is a great restaurant - excellent food - rather quiet and subdued for a park restaurant and for my preference with kids. But they do serve the Chocolate Moose for dessert - my kids still talk about that.

Marrakesh has been a long time favorite of ours. Our daughter particularly enjoys the belly dancer. Try for a table close to the floor - your DD can join the dancer. A little quieter than some other choices.

We love San Angel Inn, too. And our kids did fine there at 2 1/2 and 3 1/2. Its a little dark. Try for an earlier PS and try and get a table by the water. Also, while you wait for food, someone can ride that awful boat ride with her. Almost never a line.

Not an Epcot restaurant, but Spoodles is basically out the back door of Epcot (as is Beaches and Cream). Everyone but me really enjoyed their meal at Spoodles. Haven't been to B&C, but a lot of people love it.

I would also say the garden grill. There are characters, the atmosphere is laid back, and the restaurant revolves!!!

Absolutely without a doubt, Teppanyaki in Japan. My kids were so completely entertained! First the hostess gave them each an origami animal that held their interest, and then the "show" put on by the chef kept them in total amazement...we were actually able to eat our meal in peace without having to keep the kids happy! They ate really well too, and LOVED the chopsticks! Those kept my little one busy for quite some time!:p
