I am fuming mad here today. I got an email from my mortgage holder over the weekend that they had made a mistake and pulled my mortgage payment TWICE!! They said "sorry" we'll put it back but the banks are closed Monday so it will go in on Tuesday. (the funds were pulled btw on Wednesday night) They went on to say that "should any overdrafts result we will refund you those fees". HELLO???? SHOULD any overdrafts occur???? Sorry guys but I don't have an extra $1000 laying around to cover this sort of mistake. So today the overdraft charges came in its only a couple right now (but still its a couple of meals at Disney ) and when I called the mortgage folks they said to send in documentation of the fees and that it would take 3-4 WEEKS to process the refund!!! I DONT THINK SO!! I leave on vacation in a few days and I can't have my money all tied up. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the guy said "you don't need to speak to one I can tell you what you need to do" I DEMANDED to speak to one and after refusing my request three times I finally got him to put me on hold (for over 10 minutes I might add) and one finally come on line. I was fit to be tied. She told me that she would fedex any refunds so that I had any monies back by the time I left (somehow I am not comforted by this,,,hmmm maybe a lack of trust) She said they would overnight a check. I asked her how they were compensating people for the HUGE mistake they made (and before you start flaming about something for nothing remember that they EARNED interest on hundreds of thousands of dollars while they had over 800 peoples excess funds for those days) I told her she needed to talk to her management team and come up with something they thought adaquete and I would call her tommorrow with the final tally from the bank. I don't need this right now !! Okay thanks for listening!!
I feel your pain!
