Three men who "won't grow up..." plan to hit HS on a Saturday with morning EMH in January. Trying to figure out the best use of FP+. Planning on a 3/4 day before leaving for a nap, dinner at Flying Fish and fun at Jellyrolls. Could use a little help with our touring plans since this is my first time using FP+.

There are so few attractions at DHS these days that it shouldn't be that hard to do what you want in a day, especially if you aren't interested in too many character greetings and/ or some of the things that are directed at young kids like Disney Junior.

If you get to the park by 7:30 or so and go directly to TSMM at opening you should be able to do TSMM, RNRC, and TOT in that first hour. At 9 you could probably do the Great Movie Ride and Star Tours with very little wait. You might even be able to do ST more than once if you want to see some of the different scenes because the line there doesn't build up that quickly.

How you use your FPs depends on how interested you are in doing some of the things you can do in the first hour a second time. But, I wouldn't start with them until 10-11 at the earliest.

If you give a list of what you want to do at DHS it would be easier to make more specific suggestions.

I love EMH at Hollywood Studios, although i liked it a bit better before FP+ as i was able to get on TSMM 3 times before 11 am :)...

that being said what I typically do is go to TSMM first, then go to Star Tours, grab a bit at Starring Rolls and then go to the Animators Academy. I don't typically do RNR or ToT but as the other poster noted you can probably do both of those and TSMM (if you go there first) in the first hour or so.

Highly recommend Animators academy if you haven't been.

Animation Academy has become one of our favorite things at DHS. Last Saturday I went there while my daughter waited for Hiro and Baymax to come out at 10:30.

We always go to TSMM first, but last Saturday it wasn't working yet so we turned around and did RNRC and TOT first. We came back to TSMM at about 8:40 and it was open with a posted wait time of 40 minutes. We got in line and came out of the building at 9 AM. So, even with the unexpected detour we did all 3 major rides in an hour.

My wife, who doesn't do TOT or RNRC, is our Starring Rolls runner. When she's along she usually has something for us when we come off TOT.

Because of the tiered system, DHS limits you somewhat in terms of FastPasses, however, you can still snag (3) of the (4) "top adult rides." I'd go with Toy Story Midway Mania, Tower of Terror, and Star Tours. Great Movie Ride and Rock n Roller Coaster are two tier ones that you wouldn't be able to get because of a Toy Story fast pass. However, if you hit RnRC in early am or do single rider, it shouldn't be an issue. Doing the GMR at some point in your day should be doable as well.

WisBlue is right that if you get to the park early enough, you should be able to do TSMM twice along with RnRR, Star Tours, and Twilight Zone (including your FastPass+ reservations). The order of your FastPass+ reservations may just be dependent on what you can get. Getting there early, though, will allow you to do things multiple times if that's important to you.

We found FastPass+ to be a positive experience for the most part on our trip two weeks ago. Admittedly, I don't like having to choose what park I want to be in two months out, but it was a pleasure not to have to wake up at 7:30am to be in line to get a FastPass for TSMM. I think FastPass+ is the lesser of two evils.
