More WDW Fish-eye Fun: Epcot

The 10.5mm got a work out yesterday at Epcot. Here's some of the better stuff:

Test Track (I had hoped to get some shots on the outside, but as the crash barrier door opened, we were sent into a driving rain storm! We were in the single rider line and they stopped TT after we were sent out and three members of my family got to walk off the attraction right before the barrier!):

Here's what I was really geeked about shooting with the fish-eye... Illuminations:

OK, it's not a fish-eye shot, but we stayed for the Inferno barge "blow-off" at 10:25:

That "looking up at Spaceship Earth" shot looks familiar... ;)

Seriously, nice work. I also did a round of Illuminations with the fisheye, as well as Wishes, but again, didn't get as much fishiness due to the crop factor. I did end up with a lot more keepers on another night with a different lens, but that's probably due as much to luck and viewing location as anything else.

Great work on the Inferno Barge blow-off. My attempts at shooting it during the beginning on Illuminations were always blown out badly. (The hazards of bulb mode!)

I forgot to mention in the other thread, but another currently-available circular fisheye lens is the Peleng 8mm. It's made in Belarus and with the crop, you still get a basically "full fish" shot on your average DSLR, with some black in the corners. Unfortunately, it's usually a little pricy compared to the Zenitar (often twice the price) and only comes in an M42 mount. Still, it's a good bit cheaper than "the real thing".

Yep, WDW is a place that's so photographed that there aren't a lot of new "looks" to be had! I picked up an abandoned stroller on the way out near the fountain to stabilize the camera (seeing as I refuse to use a tripod at WDW!) and fired off a few frames every 20 or so yards as I walked towards SE. That image was the last one I took from the back side.

Great work on the Inferno Barge blow-off.
Thanks... The joys of aperture priority!!!
