More VMK Math

I just noticed this last night but when I log into VMK and get to the updating page VMK actually updates to 102%. Talk about going above and beyond!

Over time, it has actually been anywhere from 100% to as much as 103%.

Mal and I used to joke that they were attempting to throw a bit of Disney magic into the mix.

But I have finally decided, that just like with their many other "mistakes" like for example three of the new words they have put out: Ya'll, sighes and stoped.. all misspelled.., that it is simply that the people they hire to create and program this game, are not required to know spelling, grammatical English or math. Nor that nothing can be more than 100%!

Mind you, I do "heart" the game, mistakes and all!

I hope people actually get this reference.. Otherwise I'll feel old..

I don't doubt the mistake- but around where I am from we do spell ya'll that way if it is a contraction for you all and meant to be in the plural- the singular is done yall and although it still stands for you all it is meant to mean one person...

so perhaps the slang spelling is somewhat regional-

but I agree with sighes and stoped unless there are new words I've never heard of- but we've known that the programmers strong point has never been spelling or grammar

yay - the return of 103! Used to love watching that - I knew I was "in" when it went beyond 100%. I used to joke - VMK is MORE than 100% fun - it's 103% fun!

I never knew there was a singular form !!

I learned someting new today ...

Where I am from, we never use "y'all" in the singular. That is what "you" is for. Y'all is a contraction of "you all", and how can one person be a "you all?" So, I would say to my friend, "Do you want to go see a movie?" But I would say to my friend and her brother, "Do y'all want to go see a movie?"

And Gene Wilder is one of my favorite actors, so I totally loved the quote.

I'm still mad they took out "beach". how the heck am I supposed to title my Blizzard Beach room? blizzard snow water park? egads!

I also found out when I talk to myself in the room, sometimes I type too fast and have to slow down when talking to myself or else I have to wait 15 seconds.

oh and the update screen usually goes to 103% for me, too. I keep expecting to hear a crash sound (like glass breaking) and watch the progress meter go beyond the full 100%.

that would be fun on April 1st. hehe!
