I understand we are allowed one transfer per year. Does that mean we can do transfers for more than one year at a time? Such as make a transfer for 2011 and another for 2012 at the same time?

Also, when contracts end in .1, .2, etc, can you transfer from all in one lump? Or, does each extension count as your one transfer for the use year?

Yes, you may do more than 1 transfer if you are transferring from different use years.

The one transfer per use year rule applies per membership, not per contract or "sub" contract.

For example, you can transfer 55 of your AKV points with 55 of your BWV points for your Dec 2010 UY in one transaction. This counts as your one transfer for the Dec 2010 use year.

Good luck!

The transfer rule applies to each unique DVC membership number. If you own at different resorts all under the same membership number - only one transfer per Use Year is allowed. If you have multiple membership numbers you may make one transfer per Use Year for each.

You can also transfer points from the current Use Year and the next Use Year - so, at this time, you could transfer points from your 2010 Use Year (June - Dec months) and your 2011 Use Year .... OR from your 2011 Use Year (Feb - April months) and your 2012 Use Year.

If you own different resorts denoted as contract numbers .002, .003, etc., they are all from the same membership and can only be done as one transfer per Use Year for the whole collection.

Those .001, .002, etc are all the same contract. No need to transfer between them. And you could only transfer from one of those each UY.

So if you have five contracts that you bought from Disney with the same UY, the first five numbers are probably the same with the last numbers after the decimal point being sequential. That's one contract.

If you have five contracts with five different UYs, then they are all different contracts because the first five numbers are different. The last numbers after the decimal point are probably .000.

Or if you are like us, you have two in one UY (12345.000 and 12345.001) and one in another UY (23456.000). That's two contracts with one add-on to the original contract.

I can transfer from one contract (23456.000) to the other (12345.000). The transferred points retain their UY and resort.
