Hello!

Its raining and I'm bored so planning our holidays next year!

We will certainly be going to Florida next year but I wouldn't mind a very short break to Disney again (providing the OH enjoys it in September). This might be a silly questions but how many people on here go again and again?

I am staying at the Holiday Inn in September so wouldn't mind staying in a Disney hotel next year, and recommendations?

Where has that sun gone..... :laundy:

Everyone goes on here again and again, lol.

We are very bad influences on each other!! I got back 4 weeks ago and have just rebooked today!!

My advice is have a look round some of the on site hotels when you go in september.

We had a nosy into the DLH on our most recent trip nd seeing how beautiful it is (and how much aching it will save our feet!) we decided it was a 'must' for our next visit!

Have a wonderful time!! Have you been before??

I think a shorter question might be "who on here doesn't go again and again" :rotfl2:

I think any of the Disney Hotels are nice really, so it just depends on your requirements and your budget.

he Davy Crockett Ranch needs you to have a car and isn't really a hotel, but it's still a reasonable place to stay and can accommodate up to 6, where as the other hotels only sleep 4 per room at most.

Avoid the Cheyenne or the Santa Fe if you want a pool because neither has one, but otherwise they're decent hotels from what I understand.

The Newport Bay, Sequoia and New York are closer and have pools but are more expensive.

The Disneyland is very luxurious but carries a price tag to match.

Have you been before??

I've (Gareth) been before, twice, when I was 10 and 12. I'm 20 now and can't really remember it.......

Hayley has been to Disney Florida some 15 times with her parents, she's 21, but has never been to Paris.

I do love Disney Florida but the flight is a drag, we went to Dominican two months ago and the 9 hours flight has really put me off flying for so long!

Hayley is a massive Disney fan and I'm hoping she will enjoy Paris because is much easier to get to and we can go for short breaks.

I think Paris will really surprise her how lovely it is.

The castle is breathtaking, and the dragon underneath is a great addition.

Also it's great how close everything is together. :)

Well ive already had 3 trips this year already with another 2 to go so im one of them obsessed people that goes more than once a year lol.

Well we went in January and stayed at the Holiday Inn,then we went middle of July and stayed at The Cheyenne. Now I'm planning our Xmas trip I've lost count how many times we've been:)

We just had our first trip in June and are going back again in January and I'm 99.999999% that we'll be back again sometime next year.

I've been to Florida twice now (although once when I was very young so don't remember much about it) and I actually prefer Paris. Obviously Florida is great too, but I would much rather go to Paris and do everything a couple of times a year than go to Florida and miss half the stuff once every couple of years. Just my personal choice though.

We were there last week and are going again for Christmas :) We didn't go at all last year (had a big holiday in California instead so we didn't miss out on Disney ;) ) but the year before that we went to DLP at Halloween and just before Christmas.

I have been loads of times. In 2008, we went for a week in May, I will be there next week for 2 days (Me & my oldest daughter) & then we will be back in Oct for a week. Just look at my signature to how many times!

Well we haven't been more than once a year since the early 1990's.This year we are going in October and next year we are looking for two more trips to DLRP (infact I'm getting quotes at the moment :cool1: ), so loads of us go more than once in a year.It all depends on weather you feel that you can do it more than once a year and still enjoy it as much as if you only went once a year.Infact what I'm most looking forward too is seeing how much DLRP (especially the studio's) has changed since we were last there in 2004.

We have been to Florida several times and loved it, we had also been to France at least once a yr and were real Francophiles but couldnt bring ourselves to go to DLP as we felt Disney was American not French.
That all changed just over 2 yrs ago (Easter 06) when we decided to visit for a few days as we were near Paris for 2 wks and life has never been the same since :rotfl:

We loved it so much we immediately booked our stay the following Easter (07)as well. We then discovered DIS boards and life definitely has never been the same :rotfl:

We decided 1 trip a yr wasnt enough so booked again for July 07, bought APs and went again between Christmas and New yr 07, Easter 07 and have just come back from another trip there- 4 trips (21 days) out of the APs all in the space of 12 mths

We didnt renew the APs as we decided to save for a luxury trip sometime next yr instead but we've only been back a few days and Ive already been looking at prices, comparing hotels and enviousy doing SDDs with those about to go and exclaiming about wonderful prices people seem to be paying for Christmas/January trips.

People at work think Im mad and have suggested we just save and go to Florida instead but give us DLP any day - lots of trips with just enough space inbetween to build up the excitement

DLPR vs. Florida is a difficult one for me. DLP is cheaper and closer so you can go more often, but Florida is bigger and has more theme parks. Currently DLP is winning, but that doesn't stop be dreaming about going back to Florida ;)

we've never done Florida and I hope to one day but I'm waiting til dd is a bit older. We took ds for his first trip back in 94 (I think) and I've got to admit no other holiday compares. We were there in June and we're going back in October which I'm so excited about, I've never seen it at Halloween before  and no doubt we'll be booking up again soon !

we always do DLRP one year and Florida the following year but in 2009 we are lucky enough to be going to DLRP in jan (due to a great price)and have booked florida for the october i am so excited to have 2 disney holidays in one year:cool1: :cool1:

I know what you mean. Everyone thinks I'm weird now that I'd rather go to DLP.

I don't think I would say DLP is better than WDW. I think it's just that I'd rather go more often and see everything than go not so often and miss loads out iykwim.

I still dream about going back to Florida too and we will in a few years, but if it was a choice between 2+ DLP holidays or 1 WDW holiday, I'd go for DLP everytime.

Thats exactly how we feel
