More than 6 people with a Guest Assist Card

We have seven people in our family and will be bringing one cousin for a total of eight. Our 4yo has uncontrolled epilepsy and for a number of reasons can't stand in line for long and is heat intolerant. She's too heavy for us to carry. We're hoping to avoid using the card as much as possible. (And for a lot of the rides she'll be back at OKW with one of us while the older kids stay at the parks.)

But when we do have to use the card, do you think the CM's will let more than 6 come along? Last time they told us it was up to the manager of each attraction to make that call. We only used the card once -- at Jungle Cruise -- and it was no problem. Does anyone else have experience with this situation?

Any suggestions for how to approach the CM's to avoid annoying them?

It kind of depends on how busy it is. Try to go as early A.M. as possible. It will be up to whomever is at the entrance, just be as nice as possible and understand that sometimes they just can't do it. I am sure you will get more replies and suggestions.

(nodding head and agreeing with what LvsTNK had to say)...

Some of the rides have a large waiting area and they would not have a problem with a large party waiting if it's not real busy; an example of that would be the Jungle Cruise.
Many of the areas have a small waiting area for people with special neds and the waiting area is in a busy area (like by the exit). Examples of that would be Buzz Lightyear, Small World, any of the rides in Fantasyland. Those rides have no good spot for large parties to wait, so even if it's not busy, they may limit the size of the party.
Some of the shows have limited space for guests with special needs, so they may tell you that your party has to be split. We found that at ITTBAB in March. THey had quite a few wheelchair parties (and one group of 8 people with one wheelchair user), so my DD could only have one member of our party with her.

I don't know how much you know about GACs, but you may want to consider asking to use a stroller as a wheelchair (which would allow you to bring a stroller into lines and buildings where strollers are not usually allowed).

I plan on telling the CMs that we need a relatively cool place for her to wait and one where we can bring her stroller along or where one of us can sit with her. We've got the spray-fans and will have lots of fluids.

Obviously, we'd all like to stay together -- hopefully most of the CMs will be sympathetic and realize that we'd rather have a healthy child and wait 2 hours than have a sick child. She enjoys rides like Small World, Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room. We wouldn't take her on any roller coasters or something like Haunted Mansion. The older kids will probably do Buzz and Alien while she's napping at the condo.

Please be very careful with the spray-fans around guests with power chairs. The control boxes and water are not a good mix. Unfortunately I have had kids spray right at mine and I was not a happy camper about it.
