Hi all, have to do a waitlist for one night, wondering if my chances are better for getting a 2 bedroom AKV Jambo in standard or savannah category. Did a Google search but it's hard to find just Jambo villa #s vs. Kidani. My first thought is savannah, since i would guess the standard folks are more likely to be trying to minimize points. I only have one waitlist to use since the rest of my reservation is for a GV and I want to still try for that. Many thanks!

There are actually more Standard Views in Jambo House that are not indicated on this map. Some Savanna Views were reclassified as Standard View due to limited or poor views of the Savanna.

Jambo has more savanna views than standard but by how many is something not really known. The map shown above, placing all the standards around the pool, was the original configuration, but since then a number of savanna view rooms have been converted to standard view. I have seen claims that the conversion actually reduced the number of savanna view rooms by about 25%. Nevertheless, even that means there are still more savanna views, and it would be the likely choice for a waitlist.

The problem you face with Jambo is that your waitlist is not limited to those seeking 2BRs. All the 2BRs are lock-offs, and thus you are also competing with all those already on the waitlist who want studios. Kidani, with its far greater number of rooms than Jambo and its dedicated 2BRs, would likely offer the better chance of succedding in a waitlist.

Oy, I didn't even think about the extra lock-off availability challenge vs. dedicated, I think I'm going to try for Kidani, thanks for your help!
